The hotel was lovely, perfect location for myself and my mum who attended a ghost hunt at the prison, 8 minute walk and we were there. Debbie the owner was so lovely and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a couple of drinks from the well stocked bar within the hotel. The breakfast the following day was incredible! Such good value for money and absolutely delicious 😋 we will definitely be returning.

The weekend that we spent at Rook Lane House yielded one delightful surprise after another. Topping them all was the welcome received from a host with a fabulous feel for all that you could want to make a stay special and memorable. This found a lovely echo in the charm and grace of the house itself, and the fascination of the history that comes with it. The restoration is superbly sympathetic, but with all mod. cons. laid on, creating some suitably stylish (and spotlessly clean) spaces in which to sleep and shower - and savour, moreover, a mouthwateringly delicious breakfast.
