The apartment is huge and very comfortable. The apartment we actually booked had no internet access after the storm Floris and the owner was very kind to offer us this luxury apartment instead. It is 25 minutes drive to Stirling Castle and also 25 minutes to the Kelpies from there. It was our last night in Scotland before heading to the Edinburgh airport (45 minutes drive) so it was perfect for us.

Dollar is very well located for spending 6 days exploring Edinburgh and surroundings specially Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Falkland, St Andrews....etc and lots of trails for good hiking within less than an hour by car like The Hermitage or even trails starting from Dollar itself.

We had a restful, long weekend.

We had a restful, long weekend. We were cosy and warm and there were plenty walks for doggo! Easy access to Stirling, Perth, Edinburgh, Fife, Glasgow and South Lanarkshire! Stirling Castle, The Wallace Monument, The Kelpies, Falkirk and Alva Glen are all close by, motorway travel is close by too! Mcd's at Alloa very clean and friendly and plenty shopping all around. The services of motorway at Stirling has a Greggs and we love a Cherry Bakewell Muffin and coffee! Restful, cosy weekend with all facilities in the lodge and friendly hosts!

We will be back,,the most super village,,cafes,,pub,,delicatessens,,people very friendly,,co op little supermarket excellent,,pretty hanging baskets everywhere,,being taken down the day we left 11/9/22. Lots of walkers,,a museum,,ultra pretty,,views of the hills,,a little gem.

Beautiful houses we took our 5 daughters and there partners and two granddaughters and were a bit apprehensive as there was lots of bodies but worked out perfect it was so spacious we weren't on top of each other we would definitely recommend

Such a cosy wee lodge. Was perfect location for our Knockhill visit on the Sunday. Spotlessly clean and everything in it you could possibly need. Love the whisky and Scottish tablet supply, was perfect for a wee night cap. 2 night's wasn't long enough. Dollar such a delight to walk into and the weather was fantastic for us. Hot tub an added bonus. Was a birthday treat for my other half and would love to do it again for next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Thistle Lodge in Dollar. The location is absolutely beautiful, nestled in a quiet, scenic area with lovely views and lots of greenery. It was the perfect peaceful retreat for our family. The lodge itself was spotless, cozy, and very well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed for self-catering, and the living space was ideal for relaxing after a day out.

It felt like home. A lovely little apartment over the coop with complimentary bread, milk and eggs. I loved it and I loved Dollar. Gorgeous bookshop and cafe across the street. Such a great community vibe to the place, I could live there!
