Fabulous welcome! The manager kindly showed us the facilities and gave us a brief history of this historic hotel and lake. All meals were delicious and the views nothing short of spectacular!

The location was very good - quiet, yet within a couple of miles of an A road, so easy access to many local attractions. There were local shops quite close by and supermarkets a few miles away. It was very pleasant just sitting quietly in the sun at the house. Some of the local views were exceptionally fine.

The location was perfect, lots of visitor attraction in easy driving distance. The cottage is set in a small town, and had a fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway, small Spar shop and 3 pubs, The Goat serves some fabulous food! Colin was so helpful (he lives next door) and showed us around and pointed out things we needed to know.

    Loved the location - beautiful countryside and scenery...

    Loved the location - beautiful countryside and scenery delightful. Loved the cottage - beautifully furnished and decorated, top quality. Charming hosts, welcoming and eager to help if needed. Two lovely horses in the next field happy to be fed apples from the cottage garden tree! Remote location, so transport needed. Excellent walking and cycling venue. Wild swimming in the nearby river.
