Very disappointing experience would not return and was no way value for money. The 3 nights we stayed cost over £900 which only included breakfast. The restaurant was overpriced. The room shabby and in need of modernisation and the bathroom was totally inadequate.

A small village with a fine hotel and other facilities. The outlet shopping village is unobtrusive ,well designed and full of quality shops. Lots of walking potential and the surrounding Peak District fantastic

just a small village in between Matlock and Bakewell which makes it ideal for tourist venues and Chatsworth just a few miles away. Small shopping 'outlet' centre catering for most needs. Village pub few yards away if requiring a different atmosphere or where to socialise with friends, family and children

It was a very good size for us staying as a group and the games room downstairs was a very nice touch. The garden table and chairs was also very nice to use in the evening. The location was perfect with a bus stop right outside to get you to Bakewell and back. There is a pub a very short walk away as well as a hotel restaurant right opposite. The cottage is nicely decorated and the kitchen had a big oven, a dishwasher and there was a separate utility room. There was ample parking on the driveway for three cars.

I loved the tranquility and the absolute comfort of the place. You wake up to birdsong and walk outside to these painterly hills and little lambs hopping around in the fields. The hosts Lisa and Paul are incredibly friendly. They have excellent tips for local activities and showed us around the farm. The accommodation itself faces the hills and provides fantastic sunset views. It is very clean, comfortable, and provides you with all the utilities you might need (and then some). The name is apt: hillside haven.

This is an excellent hotel. It isn't one of the biggest I have stayed in, but it is certainly one of the best. All of the staff were superb and the food was delightful. The hotel is full of character and is in an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area.
