The Highlander Inn was just what I needed and by the number...

The Highlander Inn was just what I needed and by the number of other guests it is a very popular place. It delivers, all that one could wish for. Hospitality, friendliness, good service, food was superb, staff could not have been more helpful. Would recommend to all of my close friends, have already done so now that I am back home.

This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the area every month and had no option to use it one night for a stay, caters for the tourists and rips them off, go 10 mins in any direction and get better service and room for half the cost. If you are a tourist more expensive does not mean better, especially at this hotel.

Craigallachie itself is very small.

Craigallachie itself is very small. If you are out and about in the car it is perfect for you. The Highlander Inn was a great place to eat. Aberlour just 2 miles away was in walking distance and the walk along the river was nice. You had to walk along the main road to get to the path though. The cottage is just off the main road but it is quite peaceful. You don`t hear the traffic inside really. Unfortunately we didn`t get to many tourist places as they were still closed.

On site dining with a local pub across the street. Pretty riverside walk behind the hotel. Staff were excellent and hotel was the kind of cozy you would hope for in Scotland. Bartender in the main bar was excellent, knowledgeable, created a professional but fun atmosphere with an incredibly well stocked bar and whiskey collection. Hotel is close to many Speyside distilleries and Aberlour the famous Walkers shortbread company. Comfortable lounge where you can sit quietly with a book and enjoy the surroundings.

Small hotel that provides excellence size of room, high ceiling, large bathroom (we booked family room), adequate furnitures in the room. They have a small kitchen, which makes pretty good dinner and breakfast. I am a frequently traveler, and not staying small hotel or Airbnb room, I booked this room based on the pictures showed on the web, and price. I didn’t expect the facility was really nice, like a good hotel (not a motel!) room. Highly recommend.
