We have had meals a number of times in the Aberlour Hotel and have always had a fantastic experience. Large portions too. Each time we’ve visited, all staff have been knowledgeable about the area and are always happy and cheerful. Our room was large with a gigantic comfortable bed. the room was heated to a good temperature and was quiet too.

Wonderful and spacious accommodation. Very lovingly furnished! Sharon and Kev are extremely lovely and friendly hosts 😊 The flat has everything you need, a large living room with wood burner, a kitchen with everything you need and a large bedroom upstairs. The Highlander Inn was just what I needed and by the number of other guests it is a very popular place. It delivers, all that one could wish for. Hospitality, friendliness, good service, food was superb, staff could not have been more helpful. Would recommend to all of my close friends, have already done so now that I am back home.

This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the...

This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the area every month and had no option to use it one night for a stay, caters for the tourists and rips them off, go 10 mins in any direction and get better service and room for half the cost. If you are a tourist more expensive does not mean better, especially at this hotel.

Craigallachie itself is very small.

Craigallachie itself is very small. If you are out and about in the car it is perfect for you. The Highlander Inn was a great place to eat. Aberlour just 2 miles away was in walking distance and the walk along the river was nice. You had to walk along the main road to get to the path though. The cottage is just off the main road but it is quite peaceful. You don`t hear the traffic inside really. Unfortunately we didn`t get to many tourist places as they were still closed.

We stayed for one night and unfortunately it was during a storm and the hotel/restaurant lost power. Hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible and the kitchen were able to provide all the residents with a cold evening meal. The hotel was full and the staff ensured that all the areas were lit by candles and we had a lovely evening talking to other residents as there was no phone signal or wifi due to the power outage. Power was back on in the morning and had a lovely breakfast.

Small hotel that provides excellence size of room, high ceiling, large bathroom (we booked family room), adequate furnitures in the room. They have a small kitchen, which makes pretty good dinner and breakfast. I am a frequently traveler, and not staying small hotel or Airbnb room, I booked this room based on the pictures showed on the web, and price. I didn’t expect the facility was really nice, like a good hotel (not a motel!) room. Highly recommend.

Very good food in the restaurant and, most importanty, second biggest Whiskey bar with a very knowledgable and friendly barkeeper. Good location for visiting the Spey side distilleries. Nice hotel!

Location is great for distilleries and the Cairngorms. Not much to do in Craigellachie itself, but Charlestown (Aberlour) and Dufftown are close. Whisky bar is fabulous.
