Combe Martin was the perfect place to have our 3 night stay.

Combe Martin was the perfect place to have our 3 night stay. We liked quieter places in the village and exploring the little roads with their lovely houses and cottages. We loved the amazing sunset from Combe Martin Beach on our first night. Everyone we met there were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the beaches there and the amazing views. It was a very restful break. We recommend Newberry Beach Lodge B and B for their lovely breakfasts which set you up for the day!Great local bakery with fantastic fresh cream Apple turnovers!Lovely fish and chips at the Black and White Chippy too!

Having once lived in the village we were shocked.

Having once lived in the village we were shocked. We thought it was run down and in dire need of revitalising. The shops, including the coffee shops, were shut, apart from a newsagents. Even the museum was closed. We did have a good chat to a current resident who agreed with us. However, we did manage to find the grave marker for Terry Thomas. We also revisited our old haunts in and around the area.

Combe Martin has a great little beach for families but not really a lot else. I love it because it has a great walk around the headland, and is a a good place to stay to visit other attractions in the area

Beautiful location for energetic walking!

Beautiful location for energetic walking! Lovely eating places and a strong sense of community throughout the village. We particularly liked the Pack of Cards for evening meals and the cafe overlooking the beach for sandwiches. We had great weather for all 5 days and the beach was much used by all ages. Kayaking, paddle boards were very popular and when the tide was in it was a very protected beach making it safe for young inexperienced swimmers.

Sheltered cove, great for SUP.

Sheltered cove, great for SUP. Low tide makes it even better for small children. People on the beach are friendly and are there to have a good time. The beach is kept clean and there is a designated barbecue area if you want to. Loads of parking, and the town has everything you need and want.

Very friendly welcome and an exceptionally comfortable and very clean room at the top of the Guest House. A selection of reasonably priced drinks/snacks in the honesty bar downstairs. Location is just a short walk from Combe Martin seafront and the South West Coast Path. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Best thing? The table-top arcade game in the communal area with retro games such as Pac-Man and Galaga on it - Brilliant!

Excellent family run pub and hotel. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and looked like recently refurbished. The food was exceptional. I'd very much recommend to anyone planning to stay in this place to eat in the pub rather than anywhere else.

Nothing. Our guests checked out after the first night and had to stay at another hotel at considerable expense.
