The shopping centre is pretty good with a variety of shops.

The shopping centre is pretty good with a variety of shops. I also enjoyed the cinema which was very comfortable. Renovations were being carried out but didn't detract from the enjoyment of the visit. The walk along the canal was pretty and relaxing. I'd have liked a trip to the museum but sadly it's closed at weekends. Don't miss a trip to nearby Bowling canal basin. The boats and old buildings make it very pretty. This is a beautiful spot with lovely vistas and a great wee eatery at Paton's Place. Great coffee.

Clydebank is mostly a working area but has a fairly large, alright shopping centre. Hotel is attached to Jubilee private hospital but this does not detract from the quality. Plenty of buses on main road about 5 minute walk from hotel. These can go all the way to Loch Lomond / Balloch / Helensburgh to West and Clydebank (a mile) and Glasgow (about 10 or 11 miles) to the East. There is even the main train line a couple of hundred yards from main road which can take you to aforementioned places and much further.

We did not explore Clydebank.

We did not explore Clydebank. The hotel was a base to move around the west of Scotland. We visited the Transport and Kelvingrove museums, Loch Lomond, Falls of Falloch and Gairlochhead, all of which we would recommend. We did not enjoy the Museum of Rural life which we visited on our way to Edinburgh for our return journey. We ate in the hotel, which was very good, and we also enjoyed meals from the local Chinese takeaway.

Hotel is next to the river and near to Erkine Bridge and suited us just fine. Hotel was also adjacent to Golden Jubilee Hospital. Hotel staff were excellent and accommodation excellent, excellent value.

Attended a family event, celebrating a 60th birthday at tithe Yard in Clydebank, in Chalmers St. It was a private function, which closed at mid night. Afterwards, it was a short taxi journey back to the Jubilee Hotel.

We originally booked the chalets, but ended up in the main hotel. Having read some of the reviews, we were a wee bit wary prior to arriving as there were a lot of negative comments. However we were made to feel very welcome by the staff, everything was clean and freshly presented and most of all it was tremendous value for money. We didn't eat in the hotel as we were heading into Glasgow, but had a few pints in the bar where the Guiness was poured to perfection.

Apart from a very pleasant receptionist who deserves a competent employer, there is nothing to like about the West Park Hotel. It is owned and mismanaged in such a way that it cannot justify the claim to be a hotel in the commonly understood sense of the word.
