Cleveleys has lots of cafes and shops, you can easily spend all day walking around! I particularly liked the second-hand bookshop. We enjoyed Illy's Cafe Bistro, which you need to book, and Frilly Pig Bistro for a Sunday roast. Booking recommended! We enjoyed The Travellers Rest pub on Beach Road for live music and great atmosphere. We were there for the rock & roll weekend in September. The seafront is nice for a stroll. We walked as far as Little Bispham then got the tram back to Cleveleys. Blackpool Transport is very good.

It was perhaps the wrong time of year to visit Cleveleys as there were only a few places open midweek and in the evenings so a few times we either ate in the afternoon or in the apartment. However we were actually scoping out the town as we’re planning on retiring to the Northern coast, Cleveleys being one of our options so it was all helpful knowledge. The Shipwreck was a good pub, extremely pet friendly. The rest, apart from the Jolly Tars (Wetherspoons) if they were actually open midweek, closed at 9pm. As I said, wrong time of year.
