We liked the situation of the rooms with the beautiful views. It was also good that the rooms were away from the main pub/restaurant so if there had been any noise we wouldn't have heard it. (There wasn't any at all) The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff were the same, very helpful. The evening meals were superb with plenty of choice. There's some great pubs locally that have amazing food menu's and also have live music most weekends . There are some very good car boots close by to clay cross and its great to go for a mooch around looking for some bargains ..Tansley is a morning car boot every Sunday and Twin Oaks is a Saturday afternoon take wellies as this time of year the ground can be quite muddy . Good location gor our trip. Room large but could do with a refresh. Disappointed at paying full price when an 18th birthday party was taking place which disturbed our sleep. We had the evening meal in the hotel both nights and it was delicious, good choice and brilliant service from the staff. Our room (6) was a junior suite and so very comfortable, spotlessly clean, towels were pure white and soft, beds and furnishings so clean. The furniture was good, modern and comfortable, the balcony was a bonus, lovely to sit out and enjoy the view.
