Plenty to do around Clacton by car or feet.. we choose feet! Day at various arcades.. can be expensive, but loads of 2p machines still. if go to the pier (you have too) look at buy pre tickets for whole day, much better value. Day on the beach. Clacton was far nicer than I expected.
Clacton was far nicer than I expected. Loved the amenities and gardens and would be happy to recomend it for families in particular. We actually live in Clacton on Sea and just wanted to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary with dinner in your restaurant, which was an excellent meal, then an overnight stay in a comfortable room with a sea view and the full English breakfast completed our very happy stay perfectly. We were there end of November so most things were shut. We went to the cinema while there which was a bargain!!! £10.90 for 2 tickets! Some arcades open We have been many times in the summer and just keep on going back! Clacton is a lovely kiss-me-quick family friendly place. Nice break for friends or couples. Lots of decent restaurants, chippies and fast food, pubs etc. Amusement arcades for fun and the pier for rides, donuts and games. The guest house itself is only minutes from both Clacton seafront and town so is perfectly situated. We had a warm welcome and Sofia and Paul were only too happy to help us with anything we needed.
