The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options ;) the staff was kind and helpful with everything. Dinner was amazing, we all loved our entrees and drinks. overall the experience was excellent and we would return as well as recommend to others.

From looking through the entrance to leaving the following day, all my expectations were exceeded. It was welcoming, beautifully laid-out, equipped with top quality items and everything one might need. The staff were polite, welcoming and highly efficient. one of the best "Resting Places" I have been to in my 80 years; I will willingly post similar Comments wherever it will support 3 Cocks Hotel, just tell me where.

What a lovely find! Great location, great facilities, super clean and welcome! My family loved staying here for 2 nights. We slept very well, comfortable bed and all the little treats of a 5 star place! The ice cream shop is a must! And so is the coffee/ book place nearby. We went there everyday and really enjoyed it! 5 stars!!!

Welcoming hosts.

Welcoming hosts. Convenient location for touring and/or visiting Hay on Wye. Room as shown in photos. Very good food in the restaurant. No breakfast is provided but host's recommendations for local places is very good. In a quiet village not far off main roads so easy to reach and quiet at night. Book ahead for the evening meal as food good and popular with locals. Very friendly, pub room, nice village for a stroll after dinner.

The upper floor had no handrail on the wide steep stairs.

The upper floor had no handrail on the wide steep stairs. We couldnt contact reception without going down. We liked having a large room with chairs in front of the TV. The food and beds were very good.

The hotel is set in the most beautiful, peaceful valley bordering the Brecon Beacons. It it a fabulous country house with a wonderful collection of art. It is comfortable and luxurious but relaxed and welcoming. The staff were lovely and were doing their utmost to make your stay perfect. The rooms were tastefully decorated and beds were extremely comfortable . It was spotlessly clean .

Lovely welcome at the Cock Hotel, we stayed for one night and enjoyed a meal inthe restaurant. The food was very good, my husband had a homemade chicken and leek pie and said it was the best he had ever had. Our room was clean, comfortable and met our needs beautifully.

Excellent host who was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located for day trips to Hay-on-Wye. Quick and easy access to local amenities (3min walk to mini petrol station supermarket) and the recommended breakfast place was great!

The hotel was beautiful . Quiet and peaceful . Lovely room with huge bay window looking towards the garden and hills . We enjoyed looking around the kitchen garden , maze and hotel gardens . The staff there were helpful and informative .
