Definitely one of the best places I have ever been in my life (and I have travelled enough!). Top cleanliness, responsiveness of the management team on any request (both via chat before the stay and during), super functional flat, cosy, warm and equipped with every comfort needed to accommodate even the most demanding guest. The cabins are completely new, this can be deduced from various details including the modernity of the appliances (you have an induction cooker, an oven, sink and fridge so you can prepare a meal if you need to) or the bathroom. In the morning, for convenience and travel needs, we had two vegan breakfasts delivered: a real surprise! Two vegan croissants still warm, two vegan porridges with oats/granola and jam, fresh juice. A riot of goodness! Unfortunately we only stayed one night at House of Juniper Cabins, but we would have liked to stay much longer!

A small town with facilities as needed.

A small town with facilities as needed. A good base to explore Skye - we were travelling from ferry in Uist and broke our long drive for one night. We visited the wildlife hide nearby - the area is great for marine wildlife.

Broadford is well located to travel across all Skye, but also not too far from the bridge of Skye to reach back to mainland. It has a supermarket and some restaurants. A walk on the shore is beautiful.

Passing through, needed a base.

Passing through, needed a base. It’s a bit out of the way, no buses in evening to connect to rest of Skye for returning from activities. The coop nearby makes for good grocery shopping, and the shoreline trail is scenic, for a short walk. Bus stop is a 5 min walk.

Good location that was the only plus. Sea view room at an extra cost but window unit blown and all misted up on the inside so spoiled the view. Expensive bar prices. Poor breakfast. Bathroom door would not close.

Impressed by our hosts who, learning before we came that I am disabled, put up a rail for me to use on the steps! We loved Portree, Dunvegan, Kileakin and Plockton best. Had undelievably delicious meals at Plockton Shores Hotel and a hotel in Portree near the information centre. Freshest of fresh cod (It had been swimming in the north sea just a few hours before)and amazing langoustines. And not at all expensive. At The Heaste itself we loved the silence and when it got dark the bright moon shining over the loch . Everywhere luxuriously appointed. Gorgeous Egyptian cotton sheets and towels. There are sheep around. Very white sheep! And cows wearing cowbells. The blue of the water shining in the sun, the varying shades of purple and grey in the hills.The heather and the scent of the air, so different from our own in London. Road between us and Broadford very narrow and surface not always good. Recommend you come in a small car. But we loved Broadford and the view from ouside the Co op where we bought our supplies. And the scent of the air everywhere

We stayed a short drive from town.

We stayed a short drive from town. The town itself is small with a few a restaurants but a great place to base for touring Skye. We got takeaway pizza one night from Cafe Sia and dined in at The Sprig the second night. We also did some shopping at the Co-op, which was well stocked.

*** Refers to the 'Faerie Glen' lodge *** A modern lodge beautifully located in Broadford in the Isle of Skye region. Unexpectedly spacious, bright, clean and accommodating. Really pleasant views from the porch. A free parking place on site. Friendly reminder: When travelling by car, make sure to take the High Road directly from A87 (as it is stated in the address provided), because sometimes car navigation suggests (mistakenly) taking the 'Pairc Nan Craobh' road instead.

Great stay. Everything on point as expected. Value for money is the main thing. 2 night stay for £350 on a Sunday and Monday in May was very steep. The single bed room was smaller than my home office. In comparison I've just booked hotels for 2 night stays in the cotswolds and london for half the amount of Skye. Expect to pay a premium for the location.

The Burnside Cottage hosts were super friendly and they fitted the cottage with everything we could need. The cottage is based in a great location - near the edge of the town, so a very peaceful setting, but only a 5 minute walk to the pub, supermarket etc. Broadford was a good place for us to stay and travel to other locations in Skye.

On Only stayed 1 night but the lodge was very well equipped for longer stays. The bed was really comfortable and the walk in shower very powerful close by a a restaurant and bar on site if you didn’t want to cook meals in the lodge. Broadford is a good location to explore the Isle of Skye
