    Kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom were all absolutely top notch and thoroughly thought through in terms of comfort and equipment. Easy access to all local amenities. 5 minute walk to the local shops, pharmacy and takeaway as well as the leisure centre.

    We were there to see the Grand Prix at Silverstone.

    We were there to see the Grand Prix at Silverstone. The pickup for the shuttle bus was less than a mile down the road. The Old Rectory is beautifully restored by our friendly and gracious hosts Tim and Hilary

    Everything was great, as I expected, I had stayed here...

    Everything was great, as I expected, I had stayed here before. Rooms lovely. Staff really helpful. This time I had continental breakfast, croissant and crumpet not good, so I did some toast and marmalade which was absolutely fine. Coffee good. I gave constructive criticism to the staff re their croissant and crumpets (change supplier perhaps?) and left. They accepted this with good grace and still carried my suitcase across the road and down the street to my car for me, as I had my little dog with me. I didn't ask, he insisted. So overall a great place to stay, my second visit, I will stop again and see how they manage the continental breakfast! Oh I did have some fruit and yoghurt which was nice too. I did have the option of a cooked breakfast which looked good, other people had it, but I was travelling so chose not to have it. I do photos but uploading is beyond me!

    For those preferring to stay in a heritage and palatial type...

    For those preferring to stay in a heritage and palatial type of property and feel the nature it is a perfect place as you are not very far from the town and still in a nice, serene environment. Furthermore, it is just adjacent to Hinton airport where skydiving is conducted. So, if one is interested in skydiving, then it is an additional advantage.

    We loved strolling through the town and popping into the...

    We loved strolling through the town and popping into the shops. Our favourites were the Old Hall Bookshop and the Courtyard Shops. We went to the Plough Pub and had some good food and beers. All the people we met were very friendly and helpful.

    It's where our friends live, so we always enjoy going here.

    It's where our friends live, so we always enjoy going here. It has a pleasant town centre and it is near to beautiful countryside. However, the outskirts are currently spoiled by ongoing HS2 construction

    Great location for everything around Oxford, Bicester and Brackley, in particular Colready Highlands which is the reason we booked to say at Briary cottages! Clean and comfortable. Owners are lovely and came and said hi etc. overall would definitely come back here and stay again!!! Just an FYI the highland cows in one of the photos are mine haha.

    The location was excellent for us - in a quiet cul-de-sac near the centre of Brackley. The facilities were excellent and everything was modern and pristinely clean. There was a lovely little private patio out the back which caught the sun. All the facilities for self-catering were there and excellent.
