Location! We went to Crufts 2024 with our dog, Jaime, and it was literally 100 meters from NEC entrance. Also the personnel was awesome 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Breakfast was done by help yourself buffet which was great with a massive choice. Make you own waffles was a brilliant idea which tasted awesome. Chef on hand for cooking any extras or freshly cooked eggs to your choice. Had just an evening bar meal but a great choice and helpful friendly bar staff. Very good overall.

Rooms were big, clean and modern. Location was great a five minute drive to the hotel from the airport. I didn't have to leave for 2 days as everything was there. Was like a mini break - international choices of restaurants. The cinema with a nice choice of movies and goodies. The spa was fantastic, as was the treatments, super relaxing. The sky bar and food, staff was also amazing. In all, a lovely surprise of a hotel which made my few days relaxing, enjoyable and I would go back for longer and take in some of the activities and performances across at the NEC. Oh and I also had an AGM in that time, the meeting rooms and catering again, awesome. Big Thank you.

It was clean and very comfortable. An excellent location for me as I could walk to the train station and then through to the NEC. The staff were very kind and helpful and I was comfortable going into the bar alone for my evening meal. I also had an excellent breakfast on the Sunday morning before I travelled

The hotel was incredibly comfortable, great staff and over all, great stay. The breakfast was a buffet style, with a lot of choice, and a good coffee. The food was very good and well priced. The location is right in front of the airport, but as long as you keep the windows closed, I could not hear a thing. So there is no worry if you want to sleep in or sleep early to catch an early flight.

More than happy to reccommend this hotel for anyone wishing to stay close to the NEC. It's not walking distance but is around £10 in a taxi for a short 5 minute drive. Good size rooms, very comfortable and very clean. Good tea/coffee facilities too, and zero issues with the wifi! Breakfast & dinner both decent, with a good price. Welcoming staff!

The BEST and most consistent staff I’ve ever had at a hotel. Whoever is training their team should be commended. I’ve never felt so looked after. From cute messages on the mirror to remembering my food preferences, I couldn’t imagine a better stay.

The manager and all the staff were exceptional, friendly and helped with my mum as she was poorly and they organised a wheel chair so I could take mum to the show. The food was also great.

The staff were brilliant and so accommodating. We felt so welcome and the facilities were also great. Lots of parking outside which was handy for Crufts. We were served by Jack in the restaurant both nights and he was so lovely and polite.

The location of hotel is the only thing going for it.

The location of hotel is the only thing going for it. It’s close to the airport and resorts world The room was too small. One towel and hand towel for two of us. One cup for two guests. Bathroom light didn’t work and no toiletries. Door to the room had to be pushed with force to open due to carpet restricting it. The noise from the outside was so loud I thought the window was open! Mirror on the wall in a terrible position We had no sleep!!

Well placed hotel if you are visiting the NEC.

Well placed hotel if you are visiting the NEC. About 10 minutes walk from the centre and made a great base for us while we were attending the car show. Staff were great, room was presentable, although the carpet in room 264 was badly stained with what looked like make-up or boot polish. Slept well as the beds were comfortable. The pool and changing area was a bit small for such a large hotel, but we used this when it wasn't busy so it wasn't so bad. Breakfast was great and good value for money, booking for the restaurant is recommended as it gets busy but overall an enjoyable stay and we will be back again.

It was the closest accommodation I could get to an event...

It was the closest accommodation I could get to an event that I was going to at the NEC for a reasonable price. You would not want to be too fussy top stay at The Gables but it is fine and does the job of providing a nights accommodation.

Good location for Newmarket race course and the M11.

Good location for Newmarket race course and the M11. the 24/7 bar and kitchen was a pleasant surprise as we didnt get in until 11.30pm from the concert. Breakfast was good but not as good as other IHG hotels I have stayed in. Less choice and the coffee machine that day was not working.

As a Hotel Manager myself.

As a Hotel Manager myself. There should be no excuse for shortage of Stock. The Menu only had 5 Meals available as they did not have the items in From Ralking to the Morning Staff they were upset that the overnight staff did not do their job. This is all stuff Good management should be able to spot and resolve.The Staff looked Miserable and were not the best for politeness.

When we realised we might be a little late arriving we...

When we realised we might be a little late arriving we messaged Camilla and she was very helpful. As it happened we weren’t late but she had made provisions to let us access our rooms which was super. Our rooms were in converted stables, the beds were comfortable, showers hot and r the environment was nice and quiet. There were even horses in the stables that hadn’t been converted into bedrooms. Breakfast was exceptional and managed to satisfy two teenage boys.

They were very helpful when I needed to drop my cases off early in the day so that I could return my hire car at Birmingham Airport. I was picked up later that day and dropped off at the Airport the next morning (at a cost). The bedroom was small but clean and the bathroom also. This was a basic hotel but the friendly staff made it a pleasant stay for the one night.

We ended up booking a stay at the The Arden Hotel following a very last minute change to our flights out of Manchester Airport to Birmingham. The hotel is very conveniently located approx. 5min walk from Resorts World and the NEC and a similar driving time to Birmingham Airport. Our room was a little dated but comfortable and very clean nonetheless.

Surprisingly good for a budget hotel. Nice quiet comfortable room with than and coffee facilities etc. Perfect for an overnight stay before an early flight from Birmingham Airport. Just a few mins walk to the terminal.

Decent Hotel. Great location for the show we were attending at the Birmingham NECC. Pricey bar. We ate out that night at a nearby restaurant. Breakfast was very nice though. I would stay here again for the next show.
