There are some community gardens just down the road which were a total delight. Well worth a walk around. Met some lovely people which walking the dog, and one kind gent even took my poop bag for me as he said there wasnt any in the direction we were walking ! Belper is a large town with a good range of shops and cafes.
Belper is a large town with a good range of shops and cafes. It is also served by a train station, with regular trains to Matlock, Nottingham, Derby etc. The River Derwent runs through Belper and there are river walks as well as a river garden, with a cafe and boating facilities. Belper is a fine place to visit.
Belper is a fine place to visit. The town - a World Heritage site - has a fascinating and well-preserved industrial history. We enjoy walking and there are plenty of enjoyable walks in the countryside around Belper and, for anyone who fancies traveling further afield, the Peak District National Park is just a short car, bus or train ride away. The room was spotless and really nicely set out . The bed was very comfy . The hotel is quite central and has a carpark . Keep in mind the hotel is on a main road so expect some noise. Belper is worth a visit , such a friendly town.
