Pontorson is really a cute little town with lots of cafes and restaurants. It is a very convenient place to stay to visit Le Mont St. Michel if not coming with your own car, although the local buses have quite limited schedules for getting there and back. Pontorson was as a base for our visit Mont St Michel . We took a scheduled bus near the train station to Mont St Michel. Our stay at Pontorson was 3 days 2 nights We train from Paris to Rennes with connecting train from Rennes to Pontorson . When we arrived at Rennes found out our connecting train to Pontorson was cancelled due to the rail strikes. Thanks to SNCF they issued us fresh tickets for a soon to be departing train to Del de Bretagne. SNCF at Del de Bretagne arranged a taxi to take us our B&B, VILLA Mons. Good location, could cycle to Mont Saint Michel. We were surprised that the accommodations is a 16th century, with lots of original fittings, amazing place! Very clean. Not a lot to do in Pontorson but the accomodation was superb and there is lots to do and see in the surrounding area both sides of the border in Normandy and Brittany. Had a fantastic lunch in the restaurant Eugenie.Guest review byBarrieFrance

The rooms were a good size and a typical Best Western mix of modern facilities in vintage settings. The breakfast was first class, lots of choice including some cooked items. The Hotel's location was perfect for our trip to Mont St Michel - 10 minutes to the Mont and lots of very good restaurants near by.
