We stayed for 5 days and had a lovely time, the property is beautiful and fully secure which suited us perfect with multiple aged children that thoroughly enjoyed the play area. The host was nice and friendly and quick to reply to any messages and check in and check was very easy. We had much fun enjoying and relaxing by the pool and can't to book again for our next stay

The town was rebuilt in 1940's after extensive war damage...

The town was rebuilt in 1940's after extensive war damage and today is a busy market town with lots of good shops and restaurants and an excellent place to stay and explore on foot or by bike along the many miles of the Avenue Verte (former railway line converted to a wonderful rural pathway) the beautiful Normandy countryside of the Pays de Bray with upland beech woods, rolling pastoral farm fields (source of the milk for the heart-shaped and very creamy Neufchatel cheese) and lowland cerial crops. It is a working town and not a tourist centre (which we very much prefer) with multiple facilities but few historic buildings following war damage yet its people are very welcoming and service provision excellent.

The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings, but some restaurants are open, including takeaway. This is a fine hotel for one night (as a transit hotel), but I wouldn't stay here for more. Too much street noise and no air conditioning. However, the owners are friendly, helpful, and very welcoming.

Lovely town, with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. A greenway runs through the town. There are shops with something for everyone, as well as restaurants. We had dinner in the old station along the greenway—highly recommended! Only open on Friday and Saturday evenings. Lunch on other days. Good access to the highway.

We've been going to Brittany for years.

We've been going to Brittany for years. Neufchâtel has always just been a stopover for us. Therefore, I can't give any more detailed information about the area. The scenery is beautiful, but as someone who is generally Francophile, my assessment in that regard is probably not very helpful.

Easy to find after a long drive. It is a lovely vibrant town. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and we had a fantastic meal and were thoroughly entertained by the owner. The hotel is very clean and the bar is cosy, with a lovely outside area. After trying many different places for an overnight stop on our journeys from Wales to Deux Sèvres, I think we can safely say we have found our ideal place.
