The food is great and prices reasonable. Being able to either walk everywhere or use the frequent, comprehensive trams makes exploration a pleasure. Newly renovated room with mini kitchen, it had only been open for 2 weeks when I visited. If you think about what it costs along the French Riviera on holiday, this was a fantastic option for me. Great garden where you could read a book or have breakfast. Secure parking in the basement, at a reasonable price. Short walk to supermarket which was useful as the area itself is run down and I felt unsafe when it was dark. this is a great underated city. there are several spots for tourism: squares, parks, the buildings are amazing. we visited the city center and there are a lot of businesses for shopping, local products, restaurants and cafes. the prices are not too high compared to the other cities around. the transportation is adecuate so you can explore and get around easily.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

It's a vibrant city. I wandered around the old town, which has a lot of stores and restaurants. There are a lot of young people because it's a university town. I especially enjoyed city at a café in the Place de la Comedie and watching the people. I recommend.Guest review byGerardFrance - 10.0
Really good city to visit.
Really good city to visit. I've been to Paris, Marseille, Nice, Toulouse and Lyon, Montpellier is easily much better than all those places. There are enough sites of interest to go and see, plenty of shops and many bars and restaurants to visit. You can easily get an tram and bus to the beach, which we did on 4 days. Depending which beach you visit you can be there between 45 minutes and 1 hour. I found Montpellier to be a very safe city for tourists both day and night.Guest review bystefanUnited Kingdom

It is very close to the mall, the square and metro and public transportation. Has a good parking garage that links directly to the hotel. It has a Carrefour just at the ground level and several restaurants at a truly short walk. It was an excellent location to explore both the city, on foot and public transportation, and drive through the incredibly beautiful south of France.
