Olivier was very welcoming & helpful. We were cycling & he provided space for our bikes & also indicated nearby parking for our car. He provided bottled water from the fridge,which was great when cycling in 37°c. The pool area was brilliant for evening relaxation. Breakfast was greatly appreciated. The location was excellent,beside the local cafes & restaurants.

Château de Monsac is an obvious labour of love for Fabienne and Frédéric whose welcome was so genuine and warm. It was a privilege to enjoy the incredibly restored buildings and grounds and to learn of its fascinating history. Breakfast every morning was delicious and dinner on the terrace was a fabulous experience too. The wine list was so nice we set off specifically to visit those vineyards. There are so many lovely villages and place to explore within short drives every direction of le chateau and Fabienne and Frédéric were great with suggestions everyday. Our room was stunning and the pool was amazing. Our dog loved it all too. As a base for exploring Le Périgord it is perfect. 4 nights was not enough.

    Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne and up to Perigord region. Brantome is well worth a visit to the north. There are a couple of great restaurants, Le P'tit Loup and All'Olivo in particular. However, Sunday and Monday evenings it all closes up a bit so you need to be able to cater for yourself for food and drink. Lalinde is on the flat so easy to get around for those with any mobility issues.

    Absolutely everything. Brian and Cheri were marvellous hosts- Cheri put on the most fabulous breaks fast and has thought of everything in the rooms. Brian knows almost everything there is to know about the region, and helped us with activities and information. He also was kind enough to pick us up and drop us off at the train station when our car rental from Bordeaux did not go as planned. If you visit Lalinde - or any of the villages in the Dordogne - do NOT miss the chance to meet Brian and Cheri at their incredible Maison.

    Lovely refurbished place. Although situated at a relatively busy road, it's all very nice and quite inside and in the garden. You really don't notice there. Great view on the Dordogne river in which you can swim/bath. Wear swimming shoes though, it can be quite rocky. You can also make use of the pool at the hotel some 400m down the road (the hotel is from the same owners). Only a very short walk to the supermarket and to the town center (nice restaurants and several bakeries).

    This was our favourite property on our recent tour around France. We had a large, characterful and comfortable room with views of the garden and swimming pool. The pool is large with lots of sun loungers, seats and parasols. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast on the roof terrace directly overlooking the River Dordogne. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful. The property is well-located overlooking the river and is just a 15 minute walk from the centre of Lalinde.

    The location was very convenient to explore both the more touristy areas of Dordogne and the towns of Perigieux and Bergerac. Lalinde is a lovely little town where you'd find everything you need for your stay. The accommodation itself was spacious and comfortable.

    Location was great - 5 min drive from Lalinde town. You need a car though. Would be a long walk. V nice breakfast. Friendly, kind and helpful couple. Gorgeous surroundings, and a pool! And loads of room.
