The Abbey, although largely a ruin is nonetheless remarkable and well worth a special trip to this small, historic town which is easy to walk around and has a lot of charm. The history is well explained in English as well as French and gives a good impression of the Abbey’s great past. Terrific small town in Burgundy with a good selection of restaurants and amenities. I did not have time to properly explore some of the sights and the heritage of the town as my stay was en-route to my final destination. A private garage, locked during night time, and walking distance to all the restaurants in the town. A 20 minute car drive to the fantastic wineyards of Poilly-Fuissée just outside of Macon, and a perfect start if driving further north to the other areas of Bourgogne. We had chosen the Hotel because of its proximity to the Voie Vert cycle track. As we were between Dijon and Macon hotels on the route are very welcome.
