I was en route between the south of France and the UK and...
I was en route between the south of France and the UK and Dijon was a convenient stop over. I found the hotel on the Booking.com website and it fitted my needs for a room and a meal after a long drive. It is a few kilometres from the centre of Dijon but on a main road to the city. The staff at reception and the restaurant made me feel welcome and the room was clean and well presented as were the public areas. I had a quiet and comfortable night's sleep in spite of it being at the time of the July heatwave. Geraldine and Vincent were fantastic hosts, and have put a lot of thought into how to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. Some lovely personal touches including homemade cakes and jams in the range of breakfast choice. Freedom to use the guest kitchen when we arrived to make a hot drink was perfect. The room, shower, comfortable bed etc was perfect after a long drive and so much nicer and more interesting than staying in a standard stopover hotel .
