The property was comfortable with everything we needed for a self catering holiday. It was larger inside than we expected with space to relax and watch TV, dining area, fab kitchen and shower room. Great location to explore Benet and the surrounding areas or a little further afield e.g. La Rochelle. Catherine is a superb host, very communicative and accommodating. We arrived to some lovely local produce which was a nice touch and good to have some condiments, coffee. etc. The large garden was fantastic also with plenty of room to park our car also. To be able to bring our dog was a bonus - he also loved the garden.

We arrived out of season en route to catching a ferry to the UK out of St Malo. We had three pets with us. The owners contacted us to let us know that the restaurant would be closed as it was a Monday that we were due to stay in the hotel and offered us a meal. We were on the road for over 7 hours and delighted to be informed about the closure and offered the meal. The reception was truly wonderful on arrival - friendly and informative and very welcoming. The meal was simply outstanding - 3 courses of gorumet exceptional deliciousness! We were given a quiet room much needed as our pets were travel weary and we were treated extremely kindly. What was not to like about this lovely establishment. Location wise the hotel is in the centre of the village and close to many other restaurants, quaint shops and a gorgeous patisserie - but it should be noted many were closed as it was not in season. We were able to take our dogs for a lovely long walk through the streets and along the river for a good while and we could see how it could be a popular destination in the warmer months - quaint and beautiful.

The location - easy to find and reach from the A83 autoroute (10 minutes) in a peaceful historic village with a 1,000 years old abbey across the road. The nearby park and woodland were ideal places for walking our dog after a long car journey. The people/owners and welcome - very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our dog was made extremely welcome. The bedroom and bathroom - exceptionally clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated and equipped in a modern style. The food - delicious dinner from a varied, fairly -priced menu. Personally served breakfast. The parking - free in the public car park adjacent to the hotel. Perfect for an overnight stopover when travelling south or north on the A83, or for a longer stay if wanting to explore the area. We would definitely stay again, and unequivocally recommend.

We absolutely loved this property and the owners were so incredibly welcoming. My mother and I were cycling around France and so lucky to have found this place. The shops were shut the following morning due to a bank holiday and the owners mum was so generous, gave us a baguette, butter, her homemade jam and pate, which were delicious. As a family they built the accommodation and it’s very clean and comfortable. We felt instantly at home and very relaxed after a long days cycling. What a great experience…thank you
