The Chateau is beautifully located on top of a hilly meadow, in a wonderful park that you can admire while driving up the lane - all the more so when you do this on a bike! ;-) The gorgeous interiors are carefully renovated in an authentic style. The Danish hosts are attentive to your every need, even beyond the usual! They also care for the interaction of their guests with each other (for example with a joint apéro moment, for those willing) or with the monument itself (we could benefit of a guided tour on the Chateau, its history and renovation). Breakfast is delicious, with a wealth of local products (including honey from the park's own beehives). Such excentric location is obviously a bit distant from the centre of Bagnoles, but a powerful electric bike of the Chateau will get you there easily, if you wish! Worthwhile to mention that the owners have also made substantial efforts to make the exploitation of the Chateau green and sustainable for the local environment.

I have been coming to Bagnoles de l'Orne regularly for 13 years as I have been renovating a house in Javrons les Chapelles. I have brought a number of friends to the town and they all have really liked the town.

Lovely little town with some great places to eat.

Lovely little town with some great places to eat. Finding breakfast (outside of the hotel) was a challenge. Lovely countryside in the region too. Was a base for us to go to a weekend event about a 30 min drive away so didn't get to see as much of the area as I would have liked. Found an outdoor pool which was great too but remember, no Bermuda style swim shorts or trunks in France, budgie smugglers required! Town also has a casino but we did not try this out.

It is situated in a lovely place, withs shops and some great parcs and places to walk with (or withou) the dog. And all withing walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is pretty, cosey, dog friendly with friendly staff. And we had delicious brakfast and dinner.

The location was fabulous. The view of the lake from our terrace was so lovely. Our bathroom was very clean & modern - nice to have a bath. The bed was very generous & comfortable. Parking was free & just behind the hotel. Breakfast was good with views over the lake. Reception was very friendly. The resort of Bagnoles de L'Orne is very welcoming, lots of places to eat & drink & lovely walks around the lake. There was something old fashioned about it all, but in a good way.

The whole dining experience was delightful, food was exceptional We travelled with our two dogs, and requested a room with access to the outside, we were given a room with a private garden! Brilliant! Overall a fabulous short stay.

What a gem of a find!! The village is very pretty, the hotel is 10 minute walk to centre. The staff were very friendly, we had adjoining twin room for a family of 4, the rooms and bathroom was really clean, clean bedding & towels and comfy beds. The breakfast was great and included homemade bread & brioche.

Very quiet with good parking and a nice conservatory overlooking a garden at the rear. The Maitre d’hotel was very attentive and informative. Decent French breakfasts…coffee, croissants, cereals boiled eggs….buffet type. Bagnoles is a pleasant town.
