The host it's very accommodating- we're arrived at night and there was no problem to get the keys at this late hour. Appartment was very clean. What's the real treat- appartment is situated in a historalical building, just in front of the cathedral, truly exceptional!

We liked the fact that we could park right in front of the house. The rooms are decorated with taste, very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The bathrooms have shower gel, shampoo, soap and are very clean. Breakfast which was served in a lovely dining room was very generous with fresh croissants, fresh bread, homemade cake and jams and Angelina was a very attentive and friendly host. We were well looked after by our host and I would highly recommend the property. The location is about five minutes on foot from the town centre.

Cathedral is great. The roman ruins are pretty good. The town is wonderful to walk around in. In the evening everyone was gone and the streets were quiet and wonderful. The old town is just what you would think old France was like. We only explored half of it, so we are coming back on a future trip!

Easy to visit Roman remains, all free of charge. Bibracte Gallo-Roman centre nearby too. Many interesting villages close by and some interesting insights into life on the canals in times gone by in Grignon and district. Free parking everywhere.

The entire creation of this artificial city by the Romans, complete with viaduct, sewers, and two amphitheaters, is fascinating. I learned this from a television documentary; it's truly unique. All visits and access to museums, amphitheaters, etc., are free.

The little train was nowhere to be seen.

The little train was nowhere to be seen. At the tourist information center, they told us we could visit on foot—thanks, we hadn't thought of that! We walked 10 km in the sun and gave up on seeing the rest of the monuments. We were also disappointed to see ruins poorly presented or used as foundations for "modern" constructions—the Temple of Apollo, for example, now used as a base for garages, etc.

A quiet, pleasant, and historically rich town. The magnificent Saint-Lazare Cathedral is a must-see. Gallo-Roman sites are scattered throughout. There are several museums and friendly restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.

A lovely old water mill converted to a modern hostellerie with excellent facilities without losing any of its charm. Our host Fred was generous, attentive and very friendly at the same time being thoroughly professional; he really could not do enough to be welcoming. The restaurant was also excellent in every way with very high quality cuisine and nice wines, breakfast was also very good. The location was perfect to explore the charming ancient town of Autun and its surroundings which we also highly recommend..

Idyllic. The location of this little hotel is lovely. It's within the village and someone's home. I has a lovely feel to it and our host was lovely. She made us feel welcome straight away. Our room was for a family, with a double and two singles. Plenty of space.
