Well designed & comfortable room, liked the heated shower and WC floors. Enjoyable long chat at the bar with Mihaly on our last evening, who’s unexpectedly a very friendly and knowledgeable sommelier. Made our Faroe visit even more memorable and learned new things about wine as well. TQVM.

perfect service at the reception our stay was planned for 1 night but at the reception we discovered that our fairy delayed by one day, updated our stay for one more night (for even cheaper price) and was happy with this decision. big parking. wine happy hour at the bar each day. 20 minutes walk to the port.

Staying at the Runavik Hotel was a very nice part of our trip to the Faroe Islands. We stayed for one night at first, but ended up staying for two more nights. The central location of the hotel was convenient for us, with nowhere far to go. We were also given a complimentary upgrade to the best room and although Booking didn't advertise it, breakfast was part of our stay. Everyone in the restaurant was also very nice, both the lady who took care of breakfast and the lady who served us for dinner. The breakfast deserves a special comment as it was very varied - sweet, savoury pastries, sausages, eggs, cold cuts, a wide range of cheeses, cereals etc. We can really recommend a stay in the hotel to anyone looking for comfort when travelling around the beautiful Faroe Islands.

Mainly, I loved the serenity and the solitude of the location. The property was finished to a very high standard, including decoration and comfort and the underfloor heating. Swimming in the sea each morning, and then returning to this toasty cabin was pure heaven. A rare find!

Our stay in the Faroe Islands was unforgettable, mostly thanks to this accommodation. The house is truly homely, authentic and perfectly integrated into the surroundings – we felt like part of the local story. The location is excellent, ideal for exploring the island and enjoying the peace and nature. Everything was tidy, warm and comfortable, and the hosts were extremely hospitable and ready to help with advice on excursions and local experiences. It was 5 min walk from center. Taxi took us to a wrong address nearby, one phone call solved the issue. Well equipped house with some basics (spices, shampoos etc) and a grill in a beautiful garden. Most helpful and nice hosts! They even took us to airport, as they were fetching more important guests. Their children.

My dad and I had a wonderful three-night stay at Hotel Hafnia in mid-January, despite the challenging journey to get there (hats off to the pilots navigating through the Faroese winds and low visibility!). Situated in the heart of Tórshavn and steeped in rich history since its founding in 1951, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the charming capital. The rooms provided a cosy and welcoming retreat from the winter chill, while thoughtful touches, such as a stunning wall-sized photo collage that captured the essence of Faroese culture, added an extra layer of charm. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast buffet, offering a delectable array of options to fuel a day of adventures. We even joked that the royal-like flush of the toilet added a touch of grandeur to our mornings, complemented by the sleekest toilet brush we've ever seen! The staff were exceptional – friendly, attentive, and always ready to enhance our experience, making the stay feel personal and warm. As for nearby activities, we highly recommend a day trip to the picturesque island of Nólsoy or to Kirkjubøur – a lovely village steeped in history and nature. However, be mindful of bus schedules; ours departed ahead of time, leaving us stranded! Thankfully, a generous local couple saved the day, driving us back in time for our wine hour—an unforgettable laugh-about-it-later moment.
