Throughly enjoyed staying at the Amba Lodge. Gashaw and family were warm and wonderful hosts. Room was simple, clean and comfortable with the most amazing view from the terrace. The meals served at the Lodge are generous portions and we started the day with healthy fruits and honey. Gashaw picked us up at the airport and arranged all the visit itinerary. We also enjoyed a lovely short trek up at the Asheton Maryam monastery for some fantastic views with Gashaw as guide. We really appreciate that Gashaw never sells us anything we did not want. We had a peaceful trip without worrying about anything.

I highly recommand Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. Super friendly owner, who can give us many usuful information about Lalibella, and living in Ethiopia. Also he can arrange quite cheap transport to airport. Hotel serving delicious fresh breakfast made by wife of owner. Romms in hotel are large, clean, bed is very comfortable. Dont think to much, just go to Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. You wont regeret it!

We had a wonderful stay in Lalibela. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. They supported us in arranging both a knowledgeable local guide and a smooth transfer. The hotel stuff served very tasty meals for lunch and dinners. From each balcony the views were simply breathtaking we had two rooms and both offered incredible panoramas. Everything was clean. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lalibela.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. specially birhanu is great and kind man!!The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to center and lalibela churches the rooms are comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious! If you are planing to see Danakil Depression tour ask birhanu he will organize the tour !! Thank you for your welcome and your smile !!!
