The house is located on a hill, overlooking the city of Granada and its surroundings. The view from the street leading to the apartment is stunning. We travelled with two motorbikes and the host let us park behind a gate, so the bikes were safe over night. The bathroom was huge, with two sinks and a bathtub. Very pleasant stay, away from the city noise.

Loved the pool. Rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning. Small gestures that made us feel welcome, such as bottle of wine, breakfast snacks and coffees. Road was easy for parking and we ate at a lovely hotel which was a ten minute walk away. The main shopping area with supermarket was a ten minute drive by car. We had a really relaxing holiday and can thoroughly recommend.

    I only picked La Zubia because it was on my way between...

    I only picked La Zubia because it was on my way between Malaga and Valencia. I hade landed the same day after a night flight. Narrow streets are a bit difficult to drive through when you are very tired and sleepy. Maybe the town has something to offer, but I had no chance to do so.

    For me it was different as I needed accomodation for my parents near to granada hospital, this little suburb is a perfect spot as its easy to get to granada and the hustle and bustle but la zubia itself is lovely and quiet and a great escape yet still with all the amenities you need, banks, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, opticions etc,, so ideal really! X

    La Zubia can be considered a “dormitory” town for Granada...

    La Zubia can be considered a “dormitory” town for Granada city, located just 15 minutes’ drive away at the base of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the National park. It is a pleasant and clean town with a welcoming atmosphere. El Balcon de las Nieves hotel is a converted family home in the upmarket area of Cumbres Verdes, above La Zubia town. This is a perfect base for exploring numerous villages and the general enchanting countryside within Granada province.

    We stayed for 2 nights and were really pleased with the quite location at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, nestled in an almond tree orchard with lots of stunning sunsets/sunrises and views over Granada/La Zubia. A great starting point for hikes. The apartment had a small terrace and allowed for breakfast in the sunshine and dinner at sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed for self-catering and the living room was spacious. We really enjoyed our stay & would have loved to stay longer.

    This is a family mini-hotel owned by Luis who mostly speaks spanish. He was veryyyy nice and helpful provided us with all the information to explore granada This hotel is modest basic however very organized and clean The location is very convinient for someone who drives by car. Parking is available free of charge. Communicating with Luis is highly recommended even using google translate
