A quirky and beautifully renovated place. Fabulous views and a great night’s sleep in this quiet location. The hosts were very friendly and provided a wide range of information including places where we could eat with our dog. Probably the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed.

We spent a lovely evening in Hotel Palacio Carlos 1. It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us with our requests. Breakfast was delicious and only €6. I can highly recommend this hotel.

This was my 2nd time to stay in Avienda Real while walking the Camino. A quirky old hotel with gorgeous artwork and furniture. Friendly staff and a lovely café owned by the hotel around the corner for breakfast.

    It's a lovely little town with a nice park in the central...

    It's a lovely little town with a nice park in the central area and chickens in an enclosure in the park. Last year we were there for the opening of the Apple Festival and there was great music with bag pipes and lots of festivities . It was October I think.

    After more than 40km walk it was nice to arrive hotel that receptionist took you in very friendly. Room was in second floor and street side. There was all necessary and bathroom was quite nice - althought I did not like hand washing bowl and table because all water was flowing to the floor so easily. There is bar next house and late evening was quite noisy because of locals having late family dinner.... It was closed midnight so good night sleep was still secured.

    Easy checkin with a lovely lady. Loved the cafe that was open in the day with great coffee. The building was beautiful as was the location. Decoration in the hotel itself was very nice, WIFI was strong. The bathroom in the twin room was beautiful, so it was a shame they didn't add wall toiletries to finish it off.

    We've been in this hotel years ago, but this time was even better. The building is so well kept, rooms are very homely, we never stayed before in the top floor but it was very lovely and cozy. Bathroom and bedroom were spotlessly clean. We loved every single second spent in Villaviciosa.

    Lovely hotel. They put the 6 of us traveling together all in one area. which was great Staff were very pleasant and helpfull Beatrice booked our bus tickets on the Alsa bus to Santander and organised a taxi.. she was so helpfull and pleasant
