This is the kind of place I always dream of finding. It is central, close to both supermarkets and many good restaurants, and yet you feel alone with the sea. That is why I feel that staying here was first and foremost a beautiful nature experience. We had planned to travel a lot around Andalusia, but ended up mostly enjoying ourselves and relaxing in this comfortable and well-equipped apartment. You have to seize the opportunity when you have the opportunity to enjoy the sound of the waves both day and night. Both the sunrise and sunset are absolutely beautiful, and there are kilometers of beautiful beach promenade right outside the door.

Great place !! It Is a very cosy ground floor apartment with a really nice terrace! Its a quite district, and you need a car to move anywhere as it is quite far from the city or beach, but if you are looking for a quiet, green and cosy place to relax and enjoy the nature - it is perfect!

Very nice, refurbished and clean apartment equipped with everything you need (including UNO playing cards :-) ). Very good contact with owner who also gave some recommendations in terms of restaurants, beach and places worthy to visit. Swimming pools were clean also equipped with sun beds. 10 minutes walk to the see, around 2 kilometres to the beach. No problem with parking a car here. Perfect for 2+2 family.

    The location is ideal not far from La Cala, Marbella or Fuengirola. Local supermarkets, bars and restaurants nearby. Max Beach was a lovely sandy beach, shallow sea and good facilities with life guards.

    Sitio de Calahonda was a good area to stay with good restaurants nearby and you could use the broad walk to walk along the seafront between resorts, really had every required for an enjoyably holiday to do as much or little as as you want. We were there for a family wedding which was held at El Oceania which was out of this world, the restaurant there is well worth a visit and another fantastic restaurant was Olivia’s in La Cala

    This area is is a great jumping off point to all the things to see and do in the area from the white towns in the hills to beaches, golf, shopping. It's halfway between Marbella and Malaga, easy to see both. Along the coast in the area is a superb boardwalk, great for walking, exercising, stopping for food and drinks. There is a nice beach here, the area is not too overcrowded while being in the middle of everything Costa del Sol has to offer.

    Calahonda is a great base for accessing the Costa Del Sol...

    Calahonda is a great base for accessing the Costa Del Sol resorts. We don't feel the need to hire a car as the buses are quite reliable and cheap and there are a number of bus stops on the main coast road (A7). Be aware that some stops are quite remote and poorly lit at night. We used the Leila Playa stop which is next to Lidl and also the Camping Los Jarales stop which is closer to the centre of Calahonda. We also used Uber taxis for getting around. The price starts from 7 euros. We went to Cala Mijas which cost just over 10 euros to get there and approx 12 euros to get back, which is very reasonable for 4 people. There is a lovely little bistro/cafe called Mona Lisa, which is situated at the back of Lidl. It has a very good menu at reasonable prices and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

    The atmosphere is very friendly there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets, if you need to use public transport this is nearby and a good time table, Pal's bar is great El Chancho and the Almond Plaice are have great food, the beach is nearby and Marbella and Fuengirola are just a short drive or bus ride away.

    Large, clean and modern apartment.

    Large, clean and modern apartment. Everything worked well, and the apartment was very well equipped. Lovely views of the sea. What we loved most about Sitio de Calahonda was the wonderful boardwalk by the beach. The beach is very, very clean. The owner's representative was most helpful, and waited for us to arrive with the apartment key, even though we were very late due to a slowdown on the freeway (accident) and delays with the car rental company. The apartment is well located to quickly access a toll highway for fast convenient access to other parts of the Province and Spain.
