An incredible city! It seems to be in the 18th century. All houses are made of stone, large. The city is clean and green. Many shops with handmade goods. The hotel is very beautiful, cozy, clean. You can walk to the cave for 30min, to the city center - a couple of minutes. In the evening, you can comfortably sit on the veranda, drink wine and enjoy delicious pizza

I cannot rate this place highly enough. I got there at 10am and knew my room would not be ready. Rafi took my bag , took me to the car park and when I told him I had travelled through the night and would need to sleep in the afternoon, he changed my room to the quietest part of the hotel so I would not be disturbed. Breakfast was continental but had everything from freshly made toast to hams cheeses eggs and pastries plus freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious coffee. A wonderful start to my Camino journey. I hope to return

The property is absolutely beautiful and photographs cannot do it justice. It is easily accessible with free parking on the opposite side of the road. There’s a small bar, the rooms are exceptionally clean and the staff will accommodate you with genuine conversation and a smile. It was perfect. The breakfast was plentiful and right there in your room ready for you to prepare when you wanted it, and replenished each day. The room was large and bed extremely comfy. Loved the added jacuzzi in the room too!

The town was very busy, all of the restaurants had the same...

The town was very busy, all of the restaurants had the same menu except for a few, unfortunately the ones that were different were all fully booked. We eventually had to pick a restaurant (or go hungry as there are no shops and had to wait outside for well over an hour for our food, when it came it was disappointing to say the least, and was way overpriced for the level of quality. The response from some in the shops and restaurant was quite rude - they were busy but there is no excuse for rudeness.

Quaint small town with medieval properties.

Quaint small town with medieval properties. Less than 30 minute drive to the ferry port at Santander. This is our second stop over on the way to Santander. Chose the town after a long drive from Salamanca. Although described as a town, more like a village in being compact and easy to tour by foot.

Convenient location on the main street. Top floor suite which had a nice balcony overlooking the street. No parking on-site but there is a pay space across the road and free parking elsewhere, very close. Easy walk into the centre of the historic town of Santillana del Mar. Easy access (30min) to Santander's port. Breakfast was very good value and had a wide choice of buffet style food. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.

To be met by Beatrix who called me by my name even though we'd never met was amazing! The location is perfect for exploring both Santillana del Mar and surrounding areas. Located on the edge of the village only 2-3 minutes into the centre was great. The building and rooms were comfortable and very much in keeping with the area. Thank you!

Delightful hotel, slightly quirky. Breakfast was excellent and better than most higher cost hotels that we stayed in during our trip to Spain. Staff very pleasant and helpful - excellent English spoken. Good location and, unlike other hotels from this trip, the car park was easy to get into and out of.

Very nice hotel in the middle of Santillana del Mar. Our room was spacious. I loved the old floors, stairs, statues. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but enough to keep you going.
