Breakfast and dinner buffet were exceptionally good. All staff at the restaurant, reception, lounge bars were all so kind and helpful. The reception area was impressive. The rooms were fantastic. Spacious shower. All furnishings throughout the whole hotel were tastefully finished. I simply can't understand previous negative reviews....they just don't sum up.

Very clean, cheap, pool is quiet enough in the off seasons with no kids, there is a book swap at reception which is a nice touch. Really good value for money, just bear in mind if you don’t have a car, it’s probably not the best location for you

The Calmer Side of Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.

There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.

A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.

Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.

    Lovely resort , 3 main areas so a little spread out but taxis are cheap so getting around is easy. A little quieter than Puerto Del Carmen but busier than Costa Teguise. 25 minute journey from airport and lots of Excellent restaurants and bars would definitely visit again

    Playa Blanca is much more relaxed than Puerto del Carmen...

    Playa Blanca is much more relaxed than Puerto del Carmen which has got a lot busier in recent years with particularly the number of large noisy bars showing football matches on TV and playing loud music and more difficult to park your car in. We used to stay there Pre-Covid but we now prefer Playa Blanca simply because it is quieter.

    Second visit to Playa Blanca.

    Second visit to Playa Blanca. The last time I visited was 9 years ago and I did think the area had deteriorated slightly - more litter on the streets, empty shops etc. Mainly restaurants in main area very few bars and the bars in the Papagayo centre either closed at 11.30pm or the later opening bars were few and far between. The Marina Rubicon area has improved with the opening of the big new Barcelo hotel and new restaurants etc "underneath" it.

    Playa Blanca is an amazing location.

    Playa Blanca is an amazing location. Close to beaches, shopping and the marina. This location is very accessible (lots of wide sidewalks, and bike paths). There are grocery stores on almost every corner.

    Great choice of restaurants which provide gluten free...

    Great choice of restaurants which provide gluten free options. Good variety of shops and lovely walks in and around the Rubicon Marina area where we stayed for the 3rd time in 6 months. Prefer this to the Faro Park area as it is too far to walk now even though there are regular buses running to and from the area. A trip to the Open Mall at Arrecife is a must as there are lots of nice quality shops there as well as great coffee shops. The Mumbai Masala Indian restaurant at Marina Rubicon is our favourite restaurant for curry and the Buenos Aires is the best steak we have ever had in Lanzarote - both have terrific staff. If you like good coffee with a lovely comfy seat and fab outlook along with great entertainment then head to Oasis at the marina - you will not be disappointed. We would not recommend Lanis as it is overpriced and over rated with very rude staff

    Everything, amazing hotel, lovely staff, exceptionally clean and well looked after. Apartment perfect, everything you need and really good quality fixtures and fittings. View of marina and pool. Lots of sunbeds. 2 mins from supermarket. 5 mins from the marina and lovely eating places. Able to walk out of the airport and get the 161 bus straight to the bus station in Playa Blanca. Then walked across the road and got the number 30 bus straight to the hotel. After getting off the bus 10 min walk to hotel.

    Everything was perfect, so clean and comfortable. Had the loveliest welcome pack. Well equipped with all you would need, the most wonderful outside space, the pool was amazing. Great location for good restaurants, sea walk along the promenade and bus stop near by if needed. Stayed in a lot of nice villas in Playa Blanca, but this is the only villa that we would consider staying in again (already looking to rebook)! Absolutely loved it 😊

Compared to out previous stays, the overall cleanliness of the hotel, and in particular of the rooms, has much improved, every where was spotless; however, the meat and fish grill in the buffet was of slight less quality in our opinion.     Excellent stay, the staff is so customer friendly and accommodating. We felt really looked after and spoiled by an upgrade to our room. Hotel is located away from hustle and bustle which suited us perfectly. You can access the Playa Blanca seaside promenade directly via a gate.
