However, the true highlight of our stay was the owner, Rogelio. Our flight to Asturias arrived late, causing us to return to the airport to collect our rental car the next day. Rogelio graciously offered to drive us to the airport as he also had something to do in the town. But the journey didn’t end there. He took us on an impromptu tour of the town, sharing fascinating insights about local architecture and the rich history of Asturias. This personal touch added a layer of depth to our understanding of the area, enhancing our overall experience. Rogelio’s dedication to ensuring we had the best possible experience in Asturias was truly remarkable. His passion for his hometown was infectious and added a unique dimension to our trip. The culinary offerings at the hotel deserve a special mention. The food was nothing short of spectacular, with the breakfast standing out as a particular highlight. The quality and taste surpassed all the cafes we had visited before. In conclusion, this hotel offers not just a place to stay, but a complete cultural immersion, thanks to the efforts of Rogelio. Everything, I mean everything is in walking distance. Beautifully renovated building. Clean, comfortable with a buffet breakfast. The staff = very helpful with genuine smiles. Couldn't have had a better experience. I will definitely visit Avilés again and of course the same hotel. Value for money.
