Maro is a lovely small town with fantastic restaurants and the best beach I've been to. It's a 5-minute drive from Nerja which is a lot busier and easily accessible by taxi. But to stay I would definitely recommend Maro as it is calm and very enjoyable. The local residents were also very nice and welcoming.
