The place is absolutely beautiful, close to everything in the village, with amazing views and really nice shared facilities like the pool, terraces and kitchen. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, their Spanish is not great but enough to communicate, and non-Spanish speakers will be relieved to find native English speaking staff! The atmosphere is wonderful, we made great connections with the other guests and staff and the large amount of shared spaces encourage interacting with other people, which I think is the intention of the place. If you want to visit a welcoming place where you can meet great people and have fun, I would really recommend it. If you want a peaceful stay, you will always find an area where you can just relax and unwind.

This is a very special place. Don’t go there expecting a boutique hotel with all the fancy trimmings - Las Chimeneas isn’t like that. Go there for peace, wonderful fresh, local food, and owners who know and love the area. If you enjoy walking, Emma and David will give you directions to explore the paths of the Alpujarras, or even go along and show you the way, with tons of information to share as you go. If you enjoy doing nothing, the tiny pool is perfect for the occasional dip in between lounging with a good book. Our room was very simple, but had everything we needed. And did I mention the food? We won’t forget our stay, thanks to everyone at Las Chimeneas for a fantastic few days.

Lorena was very helpful in providing advice and information in regards to my trek and the weather. She prepared me a lovely meal; overall, everything was good value. An interesting and peaceful literary-themed village with friendly residents.

A hidden gem with fantastic views. It was so tranquil. The staff were very pleasant and the accommodation very comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were great, a lovely selection. I can recommend the hot stone massage, it was amazing and the spa very relaxing.

Ramón is a great host and took care of us from the beginning, storing our bicycles and dealing with our smelly bike clothes handing them over dry the next morning. We had a chat about our bike route for the next day and had an amazing time with him and in the room, which was clean and with all the amenities listed. He recommended us some restaurants too as his was closed on that day. We had a nice breakfast and he also prepared bocadillos for us as we were getting ready. This is a 2 star hotel but it should have plenty more!

Great Hospitality, Ernesto was very helpful, superb location. Location is very peacefull shaded by many trees, perfect place for the escape fromcity noise, with the easy access on foot to Laroles and walking trials. Local mountains and canyons are stunning and worth of exploring on foot.

I have never met such hospitable guy like the owner of the hotel before. After all day long on my bike, he offered me to wash my cycling clothes, he prepared for me a dellicious high-protein dinner :-) and he also helped me to find a local taxi to get me back to the mountains next day.

When you’re visiting the Alpujarras, stay here! Ramon is the best host - super friendly, amazing cook, and full of advice. He deeply cares about his guests. What’s more, my room was nicely furnished and clean. I hope to visit Laroles again soon!
