Everything was lovely! On arrival we were greeted by Javier, the owner. He was super professional but also very friendly. He offered all the info we could need to stay in the beautiful village of Alarcon. He showed us to our room which was very nice indeed.... he even carried half our luggage up. Nothing was too much trouble. Very comfy bed, amazing shower!! Breakfast prepared and served by Javier, with wonderfully fresh ingredients used, and there was always plenty of conversation. We felt totally at home from the moment we arrived.

Arriving at the Alarcon village was like something out of a story book with the castle being the main character. It was such a treat to stay in a building so beautifully preserved. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were cosy and warm and the food at the restaurant was excellent. If your budget allows it, book your stay in the tower for the whole experience. Alarcón is a pretty village with a selection of restaurants and bars.

Hotel del Sol is located in Motilla del Palancar, 10 km from Alarcón and 65 km from Cuenca. The hotel has a barbecue and children's playground, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant.

If I could give an 11 score I would do that. Best value for money ever. If you take the suite its almost as if you are in a Parador hotel.

Gorgeous home. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable with everything needed. Loved the courtyard! Location is perfect in a very beautiful and Spanish town. Only watch out is supermarket is a drive away so make sure you bring milk etc with you or be prepared to drive.

A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Alarcón, La Posada del Hidalgo de Alarcón is a country house surrounded by views of the quiet street.

We've stayed here before and were again enchanted by it. The room was delightful, such beautiful decor and a four poster bed!! Angel and Abrahet are lovely hosts and made us very welcome. Excellent breakfast. We would definitely recommend La Posada, and would stay here again.
