Best length of stay would be 3 to 4 days for younger persons.
It is worth going through the Picas de Europa to Potes as it is an amazing experience. Breathtaking views. Potes well worth the trip over the mountains.

Service we received by some of the staff fell well below that which we had received at Paradors previously.
Menus very much on the small side and not clear . Very dissappointing stay we had better service at one star hotels we stayed in on this trip.
we were expecting a bit of luxury it was not what we got.

If there is a kinder,more helpful gentleman in the world we have yet to meet him. Expecting a cold start to our trip we needed to shed some of our clothing. He volunteered to look after it for us. He advised us on our next day,s route. He looked after our bikes in his garage. The hotel is perfectly clean and modern and located right in the middle of town near restaurants and bars.

Stunning location, massive room. Friendly staff, polite and particular waiters who ensured our superb dinner was a memorable experience. Loved the rustic furnishings and the very comfortable beds. Free parking under a carport was a bonus, seems free parking is very rare at Spanish hotels these days.

Fantastic room with an amazing view. Recommend you pay a bit extra for a room with a lake view. Staff in the bar and restaurant were very good, in particular Nuria and Laura. This hotel is an excellent place to stay if you're using the ferry at Santander, less than 2 hours away.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Secure parking for our ebikes was a garage 50m from the hotel. We had 24hour access too, which was great. Breakfast was good, typically Spanish...coffee, juice and tostada.

Second time staying here. The location is excellent and the hotel still quirky. Comfortable and unique but......with an authentic Spanish breakfast just down in town for 4 Euros .....you have to ask....
