Loved the house, had everything you would need. It was well kept and decorated nicely. The shutters kept all the light out so we had a good night's sleep. The garden is very pretty and the hammock was a nice touch. The house is situated in a convenient location if you have a car, which we did. Free parking spaces nearby.

Fantastic character property but with every modern convenience you need. Great views, even your own Dragon tree so noneed to go and see any others. Very quiet place so really feel like you are away from everything, all you can hear is the sea. Shower was great, theres a washing machine if you need it, the balcony from the lounge is amazing. The parking is right outside, the local restaurant just down the hill which is easy to walk to down a path does great food and the woman that runs it is nice to talk to. This is also very convenient for the road up to the observarories and Roque du Muchachos walks but equally has walks directly from the house. This was one of our best stays in La Palma.

The terrace view!! Also prime location for walks and hikes. Very comfy beds. Our experience was different from most I guess because we were almost alone at the time - this looks like a busy hiker's albergue otherwise. Quick checkin and kitchen is small, but it has everything you would need. Great showers, everything clean.

Lovely hotel in quiet setting.

Lovely hotel in quiet setting. Breakfast was good and the a la carte restaurant was excellent. rooms are a little dated and the soundproofing left something to be desired. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Not a huge amount in the surrounding area but we had done a fair bit of exploring so were happy to just chill out here mostly at Faro Punta Cumplida. We did visit the pools at La Fajana which were well worth the visit and we had a fabulous meal at La Gaviota on the terrace watching the last swimmers before the sun went down, definitely one of our best meals in two weeks on the island (don't bother with the other place in la Fajana). We also loved Puerto de Talavera with the fishermens huts which was also nearby, a. nice little stop off for an hour or so.

When we write about Barvolento, we are not only referring to...

When we write about Barvolento, we are not only referring to the place itself, but also to its surroundings, which can be reached in less than 30 minutes' drive. Barvolento itself is a bit sleepy as it is a rural area. It does not offer any culinary delights or nightlife, but it is very pleasant, as are its people. As we trekked through the orchards and fields we were always greeted with the friendliness of the local people. If you are a nature and peace lover, this is a great place to visit. There are plenty of hiking and cycling trails, and it's not far to the wild coast and the rare but beautiful beaches.

It is a small delightful town in the North, it is amazing...

It is a small delightful town in the North, it is amazing for hikes around and the hikes .... are otherworldy, there is a real rainforest - Cubo De la Galga which is really a light amazing 3 hours hike suitable even I would say for older people, and this was something I have never seen before, ferns of a size of 2 meters everywhere, lianas, I was just waiting for the Tarzan to show up :) Really cool track that I can recommend. And many many more in the vicinity.

Very stylish hotel out of 3 rooms only. Great design and attention to details(for example they have good coffee maker not capsuled one), personal really takes care and despite we were given bit misleading instructions for check in(wrong code for the key box) one of the ladies waited until we lately arrived and controlled that all went well on the phone.

Very friendly welcome, nice relaxing lounge area with a gorgeous cat, large room and balcony with sea view (just), comfy beds, traditional old building with lots of character, nice gardens, easy walk into Barlovento for restaurants etc, good base for visiting Los Tiles.

Has the feel of locally owned and run hotel rather than a international corporate and all the better for it. Staff are friendly and chatty. Hotel decor is a bit of its time but the facilities are in good condition and clean. We enjoyed our stay.
