Highly accessible from the Panamericana, this place offers amazing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (many people stop here on their way up or down the Cotopaxi as the restaurant is renown all-around for its great food). Our host Fernando made sure we had everything covered and organized daily tours to any destinations (Illinizas, Cotopaxi Park etc.) with his guides. The staff were amazing, attentive and helpful. The family made sure that the fire was always going to keep us warm, gave us milk for teas and coffees daily and made sure all our other needs were met. The cooking was £8 per person and did not disappoint, it was very delicious and filling.

Really comfortable, cosy room. Real fire in room was a treat! Good quality, homemade food. Loads of animals including friendly dogs. Reception/dining area reminded me of a cosy English country pub. The hosts organised a guide at short notice to take us to Cotopaxi.

A recently renovated campground situated in Latacunga, La Cabaña de Ciela con jacuzzi y minigolf features a garden. Guests can benefit from a patio and a picnic area.

The hotel is a modern and clean boutique place and they offer to park nearby. The city center of Latacunga. Service was impeccable and breakfast was buffet style, small but very good, and different options. I've to say that the shower was the best shower with hot water and pressure we had and the soap is awesome too!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel feels friendly and comfortable, with a beautiful design full of wood, which also nicely matches its name Maderanegra. The man working in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. He explained many things to us, even checking the bus schedule. Our room was clean and medium-sized, with a practical wardrobe and plenty of hooks for clothes and bags. Breakfast was a simple but good start to the day (coffee, juice, cheese sandwich, fruit). Not a huge variety, but enough. Latacunga is a good base (much closer than from Quito) to visit Laguna Quilotoa (by cheap public bus from the terminal) and Cotopaxi Nationalpark (by tour).
