Well.. a nice surprise. A few years ago, a colleague stayed a few times and did not rate the place. Not sure if it's changed ownership, but it's a beautiful, quirky building, very nicely restored in a mid century kind of way. I was in a room in the 700s which are on the hillside through a James Bond villain tunnel and lift. Nicely appointed room, well done bathroom all super clean. And an actual minibar. With things in it. Proper cups for coffee, not paper. A former colleague joined for dinner in the Cafe, with well presented food and good service, the downstairs bar is really a hidden gem too. All in all, way exceeded my expectations and thoroughly recommend it.

It's right next to the main Highway & easy access, so tgat was great The reception staff were so nice & plenty of room to park, free too.. We didn't eat in as we went to meet friends. Breakfast was very well appointed

The location is perfect, easy to locate close to the train station and other public transport. Serene environment. A walking distance to the shopping streets. Check in was fine even though we arrived after the reception closed. It closes at midday this time of year. Keys were in an envelope, and we paid in the morning. The room was fine, everything was clean. Very welcoming staff. The little burger place just down the hill was fine for a bite to eat.
