Historical, yet modern.
Historical, yet modern. There is opportunity to experience close to nature. The UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea Visitor Centre Wilhelmshaven is a great interactive exhibition for young and old with lots of interesting information and a fun way to learn new things. A very nice, well-ordered town with excellent public transport. Wilhelmshaven was largely rebuilt after WWII, but plenty of...
Wilhelmshaven was largely rebuilt after WWII, but plenty of older buildings survive. Its history is fascinating and is well-depicted in the excellent Küstenmuseum (Coastal Museum, Weserstraße 58). Upon arriving I got a bundle of keys handed to me which I could use for all the doors so I could come and go however I wanted. I got showed around by one the employees and everything was really well maintained.
