Lovely building, lovely location as well. Super close to the Moezel (like 5 min walk away). Restaurants in the same building or just around the corner. Very cute town. Nice and spacious apartment, very friendly host. Our dog was very welcome as well! Furniture is quite outdated but does make the place feel cozy. Place was pretty cool despite it having been 30 degrees the days before (the day itself it was like 24 or 25 degrees).

This is my second time booking here. Specifically because they were so amazing the first time. The personal touch the owners give when youre staying there is amazing. My mom joined last minute, which wasnt a problem at all. At the dinner reservation they put down a little sign with mother and daughter and our last name. They were always happy and joyful and always had time for a little personal chat. It's lovely to see that it's a real family owned business. Ow and the food was amazing! Im a picky eater, however everything was really tasteful.

Wonderful place! We will definitely come back more than once. A large, beautifully and practically furnished room. Great view from the balcony to the ruins of the Metternich Castle. 3 minutes walk to the banks of the Moselle. Absolutely exceptional breakfast. 2 saunas, a sun room and a huge roof terrace. Helpful and hospitable staff - they know the answers to all your questions :). Convenient parking.

We had a family room that was very spacious, clean and well equiped, the breakfast was also very good. There is a private parking at the hotel which is nice when travelling with children. The owner was very friendly and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation! :-)

The view was pretty good but we could not see the castle from the room but you could see it from the breakfast balcony. We liked being across the bridge, it seemed more peaceful but was close enough to walk over to find restaurants.

    Treis-Karden is a good base to go hiking.

    Treis-Karden is a good base to go hiking. The hiking trail to Burg Eltz was very nice, I did the black route. The last part is the heaviest part. I went to the viewing point of the castle and then went back. I did that because there is an entrance fee that you have to pay for the castle, even if you just want to order food and drinks. In the afternoon I went to Mörsdorf to visit the Geierlay hanging bridge, which was awesome. Note that the bus (line 746) does not go there every hour and that the line is not currently on Google Maps. So search online for the schedule or visit the tourist office in the train station. During my stay the buses ran from the water-side of the station instead of the official bus stop, so double check if that is the case for you. Both these things could have been their own day, since there are more hiking trails available in both places.

    This is a perfect base for exploring the Mosel river valley.

    This is a perfect base for exploring the Mosel river valley. With 2-3 days to find all the sites up and down the river, from Trier, up river, or downriver to Cochem, every little town is worth a stop. The owner of this B & B is very helpful, friendly, and proud of her 16th century home.

    I visited in early Nov. probably the visiting pick is already off (ie. no ship stop already). Treis-Karden has train station which almost all the trains from Koblenz to Trier stops (only 4-5 big stop, Treis-Karden is likely among them). Beautiful small town with slow speed and very local way of living. After sunset people go back to home. ^ ^ To Eltz burg, from Trees-Karden is possible. there is a burg bus (not so often). It is about 5-6 km, also walkable (200-300m up) with very nice view of Mosel valley.

    We enjoyed an early morning swim in the indoor pool. We were able to eat in the restaurant immediately after arriving after a long day's sightseeing on the Moselle and watch the river traffic. The portions were so huge, we weren't able to finish! Parking was easy, right outside the hotel.

    Lovely small town to stay in! The lady handling the hotel did not speak English but tried her best and was very nice to us so everything went smoothly. Stand out was the restaurant downstairs we had a fantastic dinner there and the breakfast was also fantastic.
