Privacy, view and the ability to go for a swim in the sea . . Just wonderful The room, is more like an apartment with a wonderful terrace corner for you alone I specifically enjoyed taking bike tours in the surroundings I really want to thank you the people working at the reception: As I forget my ‘water shoes’ they were so kind to send them to me!!!! Outstanding hotel. Beautiful facilities with much attention to detail and a fantastic comfortable ambiance. Excellent gourmet restaurant. Outstanding staff that tries to anticipate your every wish. Very comfortable rooms. Beautiful garden, fantastic spa. I found this hotel by chance using booking.com because I needed a place to stay for one night during a long road trip. What a pleasant surprise and a place to remember and perhaps revisit in the future.

Staff were courteous, helpful and spoke English well; we had a great dinner with the recommendation from the front desk. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but perhaps we will next time since all else turned out to be excellent. We did appreciate the coffee and tea facilities downstairs. They watched our bags for a few hours while we toured more of Flensburg before leaving on the train.

The facilities are top notch, but what stands out is the staff. Universally friendly and going out of their way to be helpful. The button for the large flush in our room was hanging a little, so we told reception. First response was an offer for another room. We simply suggested that they had a look at it and next morning the maintenance guy changed the whole flush plate and all was in order. The staff in the lobby bar also went out of their way to provide us with precisely what we wanted. The hotel is placed at the bottom of the Flensburg harbour and the main shopping street is half a block away. Great restaurants in the neighborhood, and the hotel breakfast was excellent. We will certainly be back.
