Cosy little hotel located in an idyllic neighbourhood close to nature, with some open fields you can explore nearby, but also close enough to a tram station so you can get to Cologne in less than 30 minutes. The room I got had an outdoor area with a bench and a table to chill at. Late check in is available in the form of retrieving key to your room from the lockbox outside the main entrance (the one with the brochures). Check your mobile or bookings.com app for instructions to collect the key. The owner speaks English and is super nice. Great breakfast too. The owner even gave me a pair of crutches when she found out I had a leg injury prior to arrival.

It was an unforgettable three days of relaxation in this beautiful hotel. The location is simply gorgeous, around the castle there is nature as in the pictures, clean air, beautiful birdsong, a nice and comfortable room, delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere and the best staff. Leonardo Royal Hotel Cologne Bonn Airport is obvious from name that it is located near Airport. If you are on a road trip it's 15 kms out of cologne city or if you are staying close to Airport it's best option but if you want to go to downtown twice thrice by taxi uber you have to bear hefty cost & waste extra time to & from main city plus you won't find any nearby food or shopping outlet as it is in off skirts of Cologne city near to airport. We were travelling by car on a road trip and there is free car parking outside hotel so it's a good option for us. There is an adjoining paid parking platz as well but we parked free on road parking in front of Leonardo Royal hotel. The hotel is plush clean I would rate 4 5 star and offer welcoming drink and fruits at entrance. There is a lobby well decorated and a bar who kept our frozen medicine pack. Thanks to them. The room was spacious with ccomfortable beds, coffee maker, fridge, working desk, electric iron and ironing board etc. Wash room was well appointed clean with walk-in shower. Our overall experience was great. I loved this hotel...

As always the hotel of this chain was amazingly great 👍 I booked it as we had very early flight and wanted to sleep a bit longer. And it was really great choice - 5 minutes to the terminal, clean and comfortable room, amazing lobby with table tennis which kept kids entertained. Also I am very thankful to the staff who helped with messed up booking (it was not visible in reservation that we are 2 adults and 2 kids) and offered another room with beds for kids without additional charges. Thank you for all 🙌🙌🙌

Small village, one needs a car to get around for food runs...

Small village, one needs a car to get around for food runs as there aren't any major supermarkets or bakeries. Busy main street close by, but windows are sound-proof. All within the Koenigsforst, a large forest, so air quality is good, and there is plenty of hiking around. Public bus transportation is close, and it is very reliable and runs pretty frequently. A few good restaurants for the weekend city slicker invasions.
