The property has a great location in the center of the old town near to the Main River. The room was fantastic, the food in the restaurant is incredible good and owner as well as staff are super friendly really going the extra mile , like preparing a breakfast at 5.30am for us as we had to checkout early to catch a flight. We have been welcomed on a hotel rest-day in the late evening, one lady came down just to assist carrying our luggage and opening the room for us. One of the best places we stayed during our Europe Trip. We will definitely be back in the lovely hotel!

The small town of Karlstadt am Main is a great place for a weekend getaway. It has a historic center and is perfect for a lovely stroll along the river. Don't expect a vibrant nightlife, but there are plenty of places to eat and drink. I think you'll get more bang for your buck in the summer than in the winter.

The old town with its many restaurants where you can eat well, the surrounding area where you can do a lot of hiking, the offered bus, operated by an association, with which you can travel in the town and also to the neighboring towns.

I only drove through twice on the way there and back during a week-long trip to the Rhine. On the way there - right after the school holidays and in the rain, the city seemed sleepy, a week later it was clear that it is a pleasant resort. Moreover, the attractive Würzburg is nearby. And for tourists on a budget - there is Norma at the crossroads. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the pastry shop with excellent strudel.

Unfortunately, I had only booked one night. The dining options are varied. Some restaurants require advance reservations; we didn't go out for dinner until around 7:30 pm, and even though there were only two of us, some restaurants were already full.

Karlstadt is a beautiful town.

Karlstadt is a beautiful town. We only stayed one night and would love to come back. The castle ruins are very nice. You can easily walk there. From the top, you have a lovely view of the town.

The location is excellent, right in the centre of town. The food is amazing, we had a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening. I am coeliac and was delighted to see that there were options available to me and the waiter was knowledgeable on what I could have that was gluten free which was great. Breakfast was also fab. Very plentiful and delicious.

The hotel is in a very cute town. It has an amazing restaurant that offers traditional local dishes and drinks. Very friendly staff. The city P+R offers up to 3 hours of free parking closeby.
