An excellent hotel with a great breakfast! The room was warm, cozy, and spacious enough for two people. The location is perfect, with all the important places nearby. The bathroom was clean, and I was pleasantly surprised by the little details like a comb and a nail file, which was a lovely touch. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay!

    I did not enter any of the castles or museums.

    I did not enter any of the castles or museums. I had done that 50 years ago, as a student in Munich. I liked just walking around, soaking up the tourist vibe, predominantly Chinese. I even liked the rainy-sunny mix of weather, so characteristic of the Allgaue region.

    The village is a prime example of a "tourist village".

    The village is a prime example of a "tourist village". Everything closes very early on, you see almost no locals, only hotels and restaurants. In spite of that, it still gives you a nice german feeling and experience, and the whole area is super clean, secure and just dreamy. I suggest everyone to take a bycicle or walk to get around, and try the Schlossbrau restaurant.

    I liked the walk ability to the castles. The tours were just okay- guides to both castles did not speak great English (on the English tour) so it was difficult to get much out of the tours…. But the area is beautiful and you can swim in the lake!

    Central location convenient for visiting the two castles.

    Central location convenient for visiting the two castles. There is nothing there apart from a series of hotels and a few restaurants. Even so, much more conventient than staying further out and paying for parking etc. For more amenties and activities apart form the castles try Fussen, 15 minutes away

    This city is amazing and the people are so nice.

    This city is amazing and the people are so nice. I had all good experiences during my stay in the area. The Castle Hohenschwangau is worth a visit as well. Most people just go to Neuschwanstein, but please visit the Hohenschwangau Castle as well. Do not eat at the Hotel Muller Bistro quick snack place. The Jumbo hot dog was terrible, and I had an ache in my stomach the rest of the day. Eat at one of the sit down restaurants!

    Woman from reception was completely stressed out wich is unpleasant if you have just traveled so we didn't feel very welcome when checking in. After 17:00 not possible to eat anything. Bad WIFI and breakfast ( no fruit) that was not what you expect fir this price. Rooms did not have insulated walls. Perfect distance from the Neuschwanstein castle ( only 200 meters)

    This hotel is the perfect combination of character and cleanliness! The rooms are in great repair, I think there may be a carpenter in the family or employed full time. Breakfast was a perfect European buffet. The location is fabulous; the castles are near by but the local hikes are fun and not too strenuous. Schwangau is a 20 minute walk away and they offer free local transport.

    What a great hotel perfectly situated near the castles. The staff were all outstanding without exception. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff very quickly learned that I love a whole glass of ice with my zero alcohol beer😁. We had a beautiful, clean, comfortable cosy room with a beautiful mountain view. The food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.😊

    Perfect location if you visit the castle, you can drive up your car all the way up the private road to reach the hotel and from there only 5min walk to the gate. Perfect to avoid crowds if you do the early tour or walk around the castle after closing. Shared facilities are 2 toilets and two showers, we did not see anyone else during our stay. Room is very cozy and classic
