Very clean and comfortable. We chose Hattingen purely because it was about halfway from Bruges to Goslar. But what a find. The town was delightful and Ruhr Inn was only an easy 10 minute walk away so we were able to wander the village for an hour and a half often dinner in the evening. Beautiful.

Modern hotel, all beautifully appointed. Large comfortable room with top-class bathroom. The location is fine if travelling by car, but walking to/from town would be a challenge. Wide choice for breakfast.

Beautiful and convenient location. Nicely converted old mill building. Very quiet. Car parking available close by. Nice breakfast, taken in building next door. Although we arrived early for breakfast at the weekend due to our departure time requirements, the staff were very accommodating.

Very, very nice, clean and spacious apartment. A wonderful surprise after a long day on the bike. Beds, bath and kitchen are excellent with an added bonus of cold drinks already in the fridge. Hosts were most friendly and welcoming and made space in the garage to store our bikes. A1+ service!!

    Were in Hattingen for an art course and to visit the Christmas market. We enjoyed walking in the old part of town, a concert in the church and the markets. The restaurants that we visited were mediocre.

    The town centre is nothing special, a typical shopping experience in an industrial city. However, find your way to the magical old town and you are transported back in time to beautifully preserved buildings and streets. I imagine that the tiny cafes and tea rooms open in the daytime create a relaxing and civilised atmosphere to compliment the architecture.

    Nice room, large comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Excellent continental breakfast with a wide and very good quality selection of bread, eggs, meat and cheese. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Lovely outdoor area with terrace and a garden. Location though a little uninspiring was only a 10 minute easy walk to the beautiful old area of Hattingen.

    Secluded 4 Star Hotel with friendly staff. The complex includes a restaurant with attached beer garden, the hotel and caravan sites. A big playground for kids and lots of space complete the nice and clean complex.
