Frankfurt is a big city with good parts and bad as they all...

Frankfurt is a big city with good parts and bad as they all are. There is many things to see and good shopping. The arena is impressive, the Stadtwald provides good scenic value. The Main Tower is impressive. I would recommend making a list of all to see in Frankfurt and how to get around before you hit the city.

My time in Frankfurt was a beautiful mix of culture, history...

My time in Frankfurt was a beautiful mix of culture, history, and real-life experiences. The city is full of energy and diversity — from the lively streets and rooftop views to peaceful walks through Goetheplatz and Dern’sches Gelände. I loved exploring local food stands, enjoying authentic bratwurst, and tasting rich Lindt chocolate — every stop offered something special. Getting around was easy thanks to the excellent train connections, and I appreciated how close everything was. Still, like many major cities, Frankfurt has its challenges — you’ll notice some visible drug activity near the train area, which can be unsettling at times. But beyond that, the people were kind, the city was clean, and the blend of modern architecture and old charm made every corner worth exploring. From breathtaking rainbows after the rain, to street performers, to watching birds migrate as the seasons changed, Frankfurt reminded me that beauty and truth often exist side by side. It’s a city that stays with you — not just for what you see, but for what it teaches you about life, resilience, and perspective.

Frankfurt is a great city with lots of green spaces.

Frankfurt is a great city with lots of green spaces. I love art, there are so many interesting sculptures everywhere. We stayed close to the old town because we had enjoyed it on a previous visit and could walk there from our hotel within a few minutes. We only had one night this time round but made the most of various old town eateries.

Frankfurt is great and has everything you need.

Frankfurt is great and has everything you need. There's a downside that occurs in large cities all over the world, namely the filth and disorder in the city centre, which in Frankfurt is the area around the main train station, Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof; I will never recommend anyone to stay there. You should choose a hotel in Bornheim, Westend or Enkheim instead. If you didn't bring your car you can use trains, buses and underground which are very convenient to travel. Day tickets can be purchased at ticket machines at every station. But in my experience, there have been days when the ticket machines were unavailable. Therefore, if you are in a hurry and don't want to miss your train, you should buy tickets in advance.

I love the historic buildings and cathedrals.

I love the historic buildings and cathedrals. I also love the view, the areas we walked along the river, the stores and market we visited along the way. I loved the food we tried. The people in the stores and market were nice. The people in the train station were not very helpful. In fact in the South Main train station, one guy is probably more annoyed being asked for directions by tourist than just being there bored.

This is not a tourist city, and so it doesn't offer much attractions or things to do but there was still enough to fill up three days. There is a decent variety of museums, a good selection of restaurants and absolutely gorgeous scenery - especialy around Römerberg square and along the river.

We were on a 2 day transit in frankfurt so we chose to stay in a hotel near airport and this was the best . Airport is about 2kms from the hotel , metro station is 150 mts from the hotel and is super easy to travel anywhere . The staff were very helpful and check in / out process was smooth. We did not opt for breakfast . We were 4 in a room, which was big enough so were the bathrooms . A super market is about 400 mts away and with these conveniences the hotel is quite a nice one for a transit passenger .

Pros. Very clean and cozy room. Comfortable beds. Very kind and friendly staff. Romantic compliment in the room - tea candle! We love it! Location was perfect mach for our needs. City Center was right next to the hotel. Cons. Parking is small and you have to be lucky to find empty spot. It's arround 15-ish spots for 50 rooms... Nearest closed car park - €20 for night. You need green sticker for your car to enter the Frankfurt Low Emission Zone.

I like this hotel, it was my 3rd stay here. Its location is great! Right behind the corner there’s a tram station to go to the Messe Frankfurt and an access to metro station is also there. To get to the city centre you can take a nice walk across the bridge with a great view of the skyscrapers on the opposite side of the river. Rooms are decorated very nice, beds are comfy and breakfasts are enjoyable.

The location is great – 1.5 km from Messe Frankfurt and 3 km from the old town. You can easily get around on foot or by scooter. There are several grocery stores and cafés nearby. It’s also convenient that the hotel offers most essential services, including internet, a work area, a bar, and breakfast.
