    A Hidden Gem with Incredible Scenery - Dranske Municipality During our stay in Rügen, we had the pleasure of exploring the charming municipality of Dranske. A small, picturesque community spanning 20.79 km², it is home to a modest population of 1,127 (as of March 2019). Nestled 3.0 meters above sea level, Dranske offers breathtaking views, including the cliffs of the Danish island Møn on clear days. The municipality includes several beautiful areas such as Dranske, Banz, Bug, Dranske-Hof, Goos, Gramtitz, Kreptitz, Kuhle, Lancken, Nonnevitz, and Starvitz, each with its unique charm. Dranske's rich history adds to its appeal. First mentioned in 1314 in a list of prince's taxes collected by a Brunswick knight, Dranske has a history that intertwines with the broader Rügen Island. The district of Nonnevitz was even documented earlier in 1193 when Jaromar I, Prince of Rügen, donated it to the Cistercian Monastery in Bergen. Today, Dranske is a testament to the island's historical richness and natural beauty. It's a fantastic place to unwind, explore, and get a taste of the idyllic Rügen life. I highly recommend a visit!     Location is magical, beautiful forest all around us and sea with sandy beaches right next to the accomodation village. :) Whole area was very calm, we slept wery well in the night. Even there are a lot of cottages, they are located very well, so you still have feeling of privacy. Pastries delivery is good service, we used it once and after, we went to the shop in Dranske. Cottages kitchen was enough equiped, but if you are used for some special tools (potato peeler and cheese grater), bring them. New and clean furniture and dishes.

    this hotel was one of bad experience we had. 1. Not clean 2. Toilet is very bad smell. 3. Before the check out time room water line was one of working staff came and closed . 4. All bed sheets , pillow covers everything we have to buy. its one bed sheet cover 25 euro. 5.we didnt go exactly checking time. But we already call and inform to them our checking time. Still because of lait checking there ask us 25 euro we have to pay. ☹️Overall we are unhappy for this.

    Apartment was in quiet place, reconstructed, clean, cosy and equipped. Bakery, restaurant and swimming pool were in premises (swimming pool had to be booked in advance, so it wasn't overcrowded, but was a bit colder).
