I first visited Berlin in 1985. Both sides of the wall.

I first visited Berlin in 1985. Both sides of the wall. So it is always a nostalgic trip. It’s a city that is full of history and has an amazing energy. You can literally feel that history of pride, shame, division, restoration and rebuilding. And some nostalgia for the Cold War! and DDR! Unter den Linden a street of historical romantic Sunday or evening walks and contrasting military marches. There are so many amazing places to eat in the city . This visit, we took breakfast in the revolving TV tower. Worth every euro if the weather is clear. The viewing deck below was really crowded so paying the extra for breakfast and a window seat moving to take the view is the way to do it. Generally we felt safe walking around the often empty streets of the city.

The famous places in Berlin are known for everybody. I like very much to go around to Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag Building, Museum island. Prefer to eat currywust at Under Der Linden. The transport is very convenient.

Attended two performances at the Deutsche Oper, the Reichstag dome (missed on a previous visit and tour). My only disappointment was I had hoped to go to the German Technical Museum but it was closed on the Monday (my last day). I also visited the Kaiser Wilhelm Church and had an enjoyable boat trip with a very competent and friendly commentary.

Well this trip was not so good because I got sick and I was unable to do the things we had planned. But Berlin is great for so many things: KitKat for clubbing, Fotografiska, Helmut Newton Museum and CO for photography, Boxhagener Platz for weekend market, spätis and more.. You'll never get bored.

I really like just walking around, there are many parks in Berlin, many places for children to play and walk your dog. I have travelling to Berlin for 10 years now and I always see something new, every time! There are many second hand stores, which I like. Every time we visit Berlin we eat at the Vietnamese Resturant Lang Xua, at Frankfuter Tor. We also have had a lovely dinner at the Italian Restaurant, Il Pane e la Rose. We went to see Vincent, the Vincent Van Gogh, Immersive Experience. It was really great and I can highly recommend it, very current.

We attended a concert at the Philharmonie with Sir Simon Ratlle as dirigent - it was a fantastic experience. We also enjoyed the City Circle sight seeing bus showing us the interesting sites. Visited KADEWE deparment store - the food store was mouth watering... Finally the Midtown Grill Restaurant at the Potsdamer Platz was simply great, though a bit expensive - you need reservation!

Friendly and helpful staff. Bright and refreshing interior. Comfortable, spacious and very clean room with comfy beds. Keeping up with NH hotel chain's good quality standard as usual. Very innovative sustainable program for offering guests complimentary drink if skipping housekeeping service. It is not located in the city centre but just few minutes walk from the tram stop. Opposite to a very beautiful park. Enjoyed very much our two nights stay. Would love to stay at this NH hotel again if we re-visit Berlin in the future.

Lovely room on the top floor overlooking the Tierpark, very green. Desk staff were friendly, parking was easy and convenient at the front of the hotel. We didn't eat there or use any of the other facilities (apart from a rather cool beer vending machine!), but there were a couple of supermarkets nearby which was handy. Also handy for the U-Bahn into the city centre and elsewhere on the east side of Berlin.

Fantastic location, clean and comfortable hotel. Just a few steps from the Berliner Ensemble! Easy to reach any central Berlin location on foot. 15 minutes from the Brandenburg Gate. Very close to the river, to the Admiralspalast revue theatre, to restaurants and Friedrichstrasse, which is a great shopping street. Dussmann must surely be the best bookshop in Germany. (Also has an English book section).

It was my second stay at this hotel and everything was perfect. I really liked the location, it’s close to the city centre and there’s a lot to see in Postdamer Platz too. The room had everything I needed and the bed was really comfortable. I would definitely book this hotel again next time I’m in Berlin!

The location is perfect for exploring the city centre of Berlin. You can easily walk to the Gouvernement District on the Spree in one direction and in the opposite direction to Alexanderplatz. The staff of the hotel gave a good service.
